SEPARATION OF SERVICE - ACCUMULATED SICK TIME PAYMENT. A. All employees, upon separation from service of the Township for any reason save for cause, who have been employed for at least one (1) year and are covered by the provisions herein, shall be entitled to payment, of twenty five ($25.00) dollars, for each accumulated sick day. He/she shall be compensated in cash for the monetary value of his/her accumulated and unused sick time standing to his/her credit at the time of his/her separation from service. In case of an employee's death in the service of the Township, payment shall be made to his/her estate.

Such credit shall be computed at the time of separation of service and be on a prorated basis at the applicable rate as stated in Article X. A,2 of this contract.
