Common use of Shift Change Clause in Contracts

Shift Change. An employee should be given as much prior notice as possible before changing their shift hours of work. The minimum time of such notice must be twenty-four (24) hours. Failure to provide at least twelve (12) hours rest between regularly scheduled hours which are being changed shall result in payment of overtime at one and one-half (1 ½) times regular rates for all hours worked on that shift.
