Common use of Show Up Time Clause in Contracts

Show Up Time. a) An employee who reports for work as scheduled without having been notified that there is no work available, and who is sent home because of lack of work, shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours’ pay at his prevailing hourly rate except when the work is suspended because of inclement weather or other reasons completely beyond the control of the Employer in which case the minimum shall be two (2) hours’ pay. The employee shall also receive his full accommodation allowance if and when applicable.
