Sick Leave Definition. Subject to the provisions herein, leave with pay will be granted to all permanent employees who are not able to render service due to illness, quarantine, temporary disability (including pregnancy, childbirth and recovery there from), serious illness and/or death in one’s immediate family, for essential treatments, or examination for diagnostic purposes, when such treatment or examination cannot reasonably be made other than during the employee’s work day.
