SICK LEAVE ELIGIBILITY - Fire Sample Clauses

SICK LEAVE ELIGIBILITY - Fire. Department Members having a regular or probationary appointment shall accrue sick leave credit at the rate of twenty six percent (26%) of the standard average work-week for each full month of continuous service if the employee has worked or has been on authorized leave of absence with pay. Any leave of absence without pay shall not accrue sick leave for each full pay period of such absence.

  • Vacation Eligibility Employees shall be eligible for vacation, based on their Net Credited Service (NCS) with the Company, as follows:

  • Sick Leave Abuse ‌ When the Employer suspects sick leave abuse, the employee will be provided the opportunity to explain the circumstances surrounding their sick leave use prior to disciplining the employee, or making reference to sick leave use in the employee’s performance evaluation. The Employer may not adopt or enforce any policy that counts the use of paid sick leave time as an absence that may lead to or result in disciplinary action for an authorized purpose. The Employer may not discriminate or retaliate against an employee for the use of paid sick leave for an authorized purpose.

  • Holiday Eligibility Except as otherwise provided in this Article, an employee must be in paid status on the working day immediately preceding or succeeding the holiday to be paid for the holiday.

  • Sick Leave Payout Employees who retire on pension or who voluntarily terminate their employment with the Employer, or who are permanently laid off from their employment with the Employer, shall upon termination or retirement be paid any sick leave accumulation they may have to their credit, to a maximum of one hundred and twenty (120) hours credit.

  • Accrued Sick Leave The Board shall provide all employees with a cumulative record 23 of accrued sick leave hours on each pay statement.

  • Sick Leave Days Subject to paragraphs d) i-vi below, permanent full-time Teachers will be allocated eleven (11) sick days at one hundred percent (100%) salary in each school year. Teachers who are less than full-time shall have their sick leave allocation pro-rated.
