Sick Leave on Termination. Termination of the continuous service of an employee, except by reason of layoff, shall result in cancellation of all sick leave accrued by the employee at the time of such termination irrespective of whether or not such a person is subsequently employed by the County. Sec. 1406 COMPENSATION FOR UNUSED SICK LEAVE UPON TERMINATION OR RETIREMENT: The County shall make a cash payment of 25% of all unused sick leave upon occurrence of the following:
