SICK LEAVE AND LONG-TERM DISABILITY (Articles 12.01 to 12.11 apply to full-time nurses only)
Sick Leave Accrual Full-time employees will accrue eight (8) hours of sick leave in a calendar month. Part- time employees will accrue sick leave credit on the same proportional basis that their employment schedule bears to a full-time schedule, up to a maximum of eight (8) hours in a calendar month.
Early Retirement Incentive The College may offer to a faculty member or a faculty member may request a choice of one of the early retirement incentive alternatives described herein, provided the faculty member meets the following criteria. The Association shall be advised in writing of any offer of early retirement made to a faculty member.
Sick Leave Conversion On January 1 of each year, an employee may convert up to a maximum of 30 hours accumulated sick leave at fifty percent (50%) cash value for the sole purpose of reimbursing the employee for medical costs. This conversion is subject to the following:
