Simulcasts. Each News Writer assigned by the Company to write a network pro- gram for simulcast shall, if both the radio and television programs are commercially spon- sored, receive a total fee of l33-1/3% of the applicable television program fee (if only one medium is sponsored, he/she shall receive the appropriate rate for that medium as set forth in Subparagraph 1 or 2 of this Paragraph F).

Simulcasts. 1. MANAGEMENT shall have the right to broadcast a live simultaneous, closed-circuit, audio-visual transmission (a “Broadcast”) of a regularly scheduled performance (the “Production”) to a free audience at Nationals Park, Washington, DC. In addition, MANAGEMENT shall have the right to audio-visually record the Production, in its entirety, for the following anticipated future uses, for which no additional fee, other than described below, will be payable to each AGMA ARTIST: a. Should the planned Broadcast fail to take place, for any reason, MANAGEMENT may re-schedule a Broadcast at a location in the Greater DC Metro area, to which admission is not charged. b. In addition to the planned Broadcast (or re-scheduled Broadcast), two additional Broadcasts of the Production are permitted, in the Greater DC Metro area, at a location to which admission is not charged. c. MANAGEMENT may create a Digital Video Disc (“DVD”), and produce up to five thousand (5,000) copies, for distribution, as a free gift, to individuals and corporations who, currently or in the future, contribute financial funding to Washington National Opera and/or the Xxxxxxx Center (“Donors”) as well as AGMA ARTISTS contracted for the Production. This DVD will include a displayed statement or logo (a so-called ‘watermark’) to help prevent unauthorized usage and/or duplication. Material featuring AGMA ARTISTS that may be included on this DVD is limited to the following guidelines: i. Up to one fifteen (15) minute excerpt from the Production. ii. Excerpts of up to three (3) minutes from all WNO audio- visually recorded productions d. Standard archival purposes as outlined in this Collective Bargaining Agreement. 2. Should MANAGEMENT wish to release an audio-visual recording of the Production, other than as described above, at an undetermined future date, in any media now known or hereafter devised, MANAGEMENT and AGMA agree to negotiate, in good faith, appropriate fees prior to any such release. 3. For the rights outlined in this Article XXXVI.K, MANAGEMENT agrees to pay each AGMA ARTIST (including PRINCIPAL ARTISTS, DIRECTORS, CHORISTERS, CORPS DANCERS and PRODUCTION STAFF) a fee of One Hundred and Seventy-Five Dollars ($175.00). 4. In addition, MANAGEMENT will make a contribution of Twelve Percent (12%) of the fees paid to the AGMA Health Fund B for all AGMA ARTISTS. Simulcasts. A. In addition, MANAGEMENT shall have the right to audio- visually record the Production, in its entirety, for the following anticipated future uses: i. Should the planned Broadcast fail to take place, for any reason, MANAGEMENT may re-schedule a Broadcast at a location in the Greater DC Metro area, to which admission is not charged. ii. In addition to the planned Broadcast (or re-scheduled Broadcast), two additional Broadcasts of the Production are permitted, in the Greater DC Metro area, at a location to which admission is not charged. iii. Standard archival purposes as outlined in this Media Agreement or in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. B. MANAGEMENT shall have the right to use up to fifteen (15) minutes aggregate of audio-visual material from previously recorded WNO productions in a program broadcast at the broadcast venue in Washington, DC, during the intermission, with no additional payment to any AGMA Artist. It is understood that this right also extends to the anticipated future uses described above. C. The AGMA logo and credit will appear on screen at the end of each Broadcast and in any printed program materials, should such material be made available to each audience. D. MANAGEMENT shall have the right to grant access to all production staff affiliated with the Broadcast to technical rehearsals up to and including the broadcast performance. MANAGEMENT may create working audio-visual recordings (so-called ‘scratch tapes’) at rehearsals for the Production, the purpose of which is restricted to use by MANAGEMENT in preparation for the Broadcast. MANAGEMENT may also conduct a test transmission of the production at the Broadcast location, transmission time not to exceed ninety (90) minutes.
Simulcasts. Producer shall have the right to simulcast the performer's performance over both television stations and commercial radio stations without payment of any additional fee, where the performer receives not less than the applicable minimum television scale under this Agreement, plus the applicable half-hour radio scale (including one (1) hour of rehearsal if required under the Radio Code) under the then current AFTRA National Code of Fair Practice for Commercial Radio Broadcasting, where the radio broadcast is commercial, or the applicable minimum radio scale set forth in Paragraph 76 of the then current AFTRA National Sustaining Radio Agreement, where the radio broadcast is sustaining. The hour of rehearsal referred to herein shall be available to Producer for use. It may be used without reference to the television minimum call if it is used for radio purposes only. A broadcast shall be deemed to be a simulcast if one (1) performance of that broadcast is used for both radio and television. Except as otherwise specified herein, all provisions of the said AFTRA Codes shall be applicable to simulcasts. The Producer shall have the right to simulcast the performer's performance over both television stations and noncommercial FM radio stations without payment of any additional fee where the performer receives not less than the applicable minimum television scale under this Agreement. The Producer shall have the right to release audio cassettes of a program upon payment to the performers appearing in the program of ten percent (10%) of the gross receipts of the Producer.
Simulcasts. When live Programs are simultaneously broadcast over radio and television (simulcast), except when the Musicians otherwise compensated by an agreement between the Federation and another employer, the Musicians performing on each such simulcast, in addition to the television payment, shall be paid on a half hour program, $27.50; on a one (1) hour program, $36.30; and on any longer programs, $8.80 for each additional one-half hour. In addition to the foregoing, the Employer may broadcast one non-simultaneous radio broadcast of either the entire Program, or the entire Program in a condensed form (but not in a form that is not identified as the original Program), provided that the Musician(s) performing on such radio broadcast shall be paid the applicable simulcast rate based on the original program length. Any other non-simultaneous radio broadcast of Program may be made and counted as play dates under Article 9 and 10, provided that Employer notifies AFM of such radio broadcasts and pays the applicable simulcast rate based on the original program length for each such radio broadcast.

  • Catering Cafeteria style of serving meals will be acceptable, providing dishes are carried back by the Culinary Staff. The food shall be of good quality and have the approval of the Camp Committee of the Building and Construction Trades Council of Ontario. There shall be sufficient housekeeping staff supplied by the Culinary Workers to keep the bunkhouses clean, and beds shall be made up each day by such staff. Kitchen facilities, equipment and food supplies shall be subject to inspection by the duly authorized Camp Committee at any and all times and further all grievances shall be dealt with by said Committee.
