Site Training and Cultural Awareness. The Contractor will, as part of the Work, require all Contractor Personnel performing any of the Work at the Site to participate once in: up to 30 minutes of Site training programs prior to commencing any Work at the Site; and up to 30 minutes of a cultural awareness training program either prior to completing their Work at the Site or within 45 days of beginning their Work at the Site, whichever occurs first. BC Hydro will provide each of the above programs, and may update the programs from time to time, in which case the Contractor will, as part of the Work, require all workers described above to participate in such updated training programs. Notwithstanding the preceding paragraphs of this Section 6.15, Contractor Personnel who: are present at the Site solely for purposes of making deliveries (maximum 1 delivery/week); or will be present at the Site for less than 3 days in any 30 day period, do not need to complete the training requirements of this Section 6.15, provided that such Contractor Personnel are escorted by qualified Contractor Personnel at all times while on the Site. Contractor Personnel providing an escort pursuant to this Section 6.15 must have completed the applicable Site and cultural awareness training.

Site Training and Cultural Awareness. The Contractor will, as part of the Work, require all workers performing any of the Work, except for workers that require escorted access and are escorted while at the Site, to participate once in: (a) up to 60 minutes of Site training programs prior to commencing any Work at the Site; and (b) up to 30 minutes of a cultural awareness training program either prior to completing their Work at the Site or within 45 days of beginning their Work at the Site, whichever occurs first. BC Hydro will provide each of the above programs, and may update the programs from time to time, in which case the Contractor will, as part of the Work, require all workers described above to participate in such updated training programs.
Site Training and Cultural Awareness. Project Co will implement training and awareness programs for workers at the Facility to increase cultural awareness, including with respect to Aboriginal cultures. Project Co will require all workers performing any of the Construction or Services to participate once in an approximately 30 minute training program either prior to completing their work at the Site or within 45 days of beginning work whichever occurs first, and BC Hydro may provide direction on the content of the program or elements of the program.

  • Training and Orientation (a) No employee shall be required to work on any job or operate any piece of equipment until he/she has received proper training and instruction. (b) The Employer shall provide sufficient and adequate training and/or orientation to any employee working in a new or unfamiliar work area or position.

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "D", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.

  • Training and Promotion a. The contractor will assist in locating, qualifying, and increasing the skills of minorities and women who are applicants for employment or current employees. Such efforts should be aimed at developing full journey level status employees in the type of trade or job classification involved. b. Consistent with the contractor's work force requirements and as permissible under Federal and State regulations, the contractor shall make full use of training programs, i.e., apprenticeship, and on-the-job training programs for the geographical area of contract performance. In the event a special provision for training is provided under this contract, this subparagraph will be superseded as indicated in the special provision. The contracting agency may reserve training positions for persons who receive welfare assistance in accordance with 23 U.S.C. 140(a). c. The contractor will advise employees and applicants for employment of available training programs and entrance requirements for each. d. The contractor will periodically review the training and promotion potential of employees who are minorities and women and will encourage eligible employees to apply for such training and promotion.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.

  • Technical Training The CAISO and the Participating TOs shall respond to reasonable requests for support and provide relevant technical training to each other’s employees to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the CAISO Controlled Grid and to comply with any NERC or WECC operator certification or training requirements. Examples of such technical training include, but are not limited to: (1) the theory or operation of new or modified equipment (e.g., control systems, Remedial Action Schemes, protective relays); (2) computer and applicator programs; and (3) CAISO (or Participating TO) requirements. The Parties shall enter into agreements regarding the timing, term, locations, and cost allocation for the training.

  • Industrial Relations Training Leave Union Delegate/Employee Representative shall have access to industrial relations training in accordance with Appendix E hereof.

  • Training and Professional Development 11.1 The Employer will develop and maintain an employee training and development plan and provide such plan to the Union upon request. Staff training is intended to provide an opportunity for classified staff employees for training sponsored by the University Training and Development and the UW Medical Centers Organizational Development and Training. Education/Professional Leave is intended to facilitate employee access to continuing education opportunities. Training and educational/professional leave may be used for the purpose of improving job performance, maintaining and increasing proficiency, preparing staff for greater responsibility, or increasing promotional opportunities within the framework of staff positions available at the University. 11.2 Any release time for training for employees accepted for such classes shall be in accordance with the Executive Order (currently No. 52) governing this matter. In the event that two or more employees request the same training period and supervision must limit the number of persons who may participate at one time due to work requirements, the selection will be made on a mutually agreeable basis within the department. 11.3 The training program is a proper subject for discussion by either departmental or University-wide Joint Union/Management Committees. 11.4 If the Employer requires an employee to receive training, reimbursement will be provided in accordance with the University travel rules. Employee attendance at Employer required training, either during or outside working hours, will be considered time worked and compensated in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement. 11.5 Employee attendance at training not required by the Employer and not covered by Executive Order 52, either on approved leave from or outside of working hours, will be voluntary and not considered time worked.

  • Safety Training Pursuant to Missouri Revised Statute Section 292.675, Contractors and subcontractors who sign a contract to work on public works projects must provide a 10-hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project. Contractors and subcontractors in violation of this provision will forfeit to the public body $2,500 plus $100 a day for each employee who is employed without training. Public bodies and contractors may withhold/assess these penalties from the payment due to those contractors and subcontractors if found to be in non-compliance.

  • Training Plan 19.6.1 An apprentice shall be a party to an individual Training Plan. 19.6.2 The Training Plan sets out the training that the apprentice will do both on – the – job and off – the – job. The Training Plan also sets out how the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) will ensure the apprentice will receive quality training – both on – the – job and off – the – job. 19.6.3 The Training Plan reflects the choices made by the employer and the apprentice in relation to:-
