This competency list has been informed by the NHS Health Check Competence Framework15 and NHS Health Check Learner and Assessor Workbooks25 and has been included in The Health Care Assistant Band 1 – 4 Competency, Skills and Qualification Framework for NHS Eastbourne, Hailsham and Seaford and Hastings and Xxxxxx Clinical Commissioning Groups. The practice should ensure ‘ALL’ staff members providing NHS Health Checks are signed off against these competencies (Appendix D). The ESCC commissioner will ensure that training is provided to support practitioners to develop key technical competences for delivering the NHS Health Check risk assessment and provide brief advice to encourage risk reduction and management. Further details of the training are available in Appendix D and at the East Sussex Public Health Local Service Agreement web pages26 The practice should ensure that all staff providing NHS Health Checks complete the one-day introduction to NHS Health Check course, which is available free of charge to practices. The practice should ensure all staff trained to deliver the service updates their knowledge and skills at least every two years, by either attending refresher training or using the e-learning Health Check Mentor tool commissioned by ESCC. Practices will identify a named NHS Health Check lead that is responsible for ensuring all staff providing NHS Health Checks meet the competences for the role. The practice is required to: • Support, train, supervise and appraise all staff who are employed to ensure they remain competent and engage. • Ensure that all staff are trained to use any equipment according to the manufacturer’s instructions. • Ensure staff members are trained to collect and submit accurate and timely monitoring and performance data. Ensure staff members engage with continued professional development, including appropriate training provided by key partners. Practices will keep records of staff training to evidence that the staff delivering NHS Health Checks meet the core and technical competences, including completion of the online Dementia Awareness module (see Appendix D).   • Training and Orientation (a) No employee shall be required to work on any job or operate any piece of equipment until he/she has received proper training and instruction.

  • Overtime requirements No contractor or subcontractor contracting for any part of the contract work which may require or involve the employment of laborers or mechanics shall require or permit any such laborer or mechanic in any workweek in which he or she is employed on such work to work in excess of forty hours in such workweek unless such laborer or mechanic receives compensation at a rate not less than one and one-half times the basic rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of forty hours in such workweek.

  • Employment and Training Administration The ratio of trainees to journeymen on the job site shall not be greater than permitted under the plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration. Every trainee must be paid at not less than the rate specified in the approved program for the trainee's level of progress, expressed as a percentage of the journeyman hourly rate specified in the applicable wage determination. Trainees shall be paid fringe benefits in accordance with the provisions of the trainee program. If the trainee program does not mention fringe benefits, trainees shall be paid the full amount of fringe benefits listed on the wage determination unless the Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division determines that there is an apprenticeship program associated with the corresponding journeyman wage rate on the wage determination which provides for less than full fringe benefits for apprentices. Any employee listed on the payroll at a trainee rate who is not registered and participating in a training plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the classification of work actually performed. In addition, any trainee performing work on the job site in excess of the ratio permitted under the registered program shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the work actually performed. In the event the Employment and Training Administration withdraws approval of a training program, the contractor will no longer be permitted to utilize trainees at less than the applicable predetermined rate for the work performed until an acceptable program is approved.

  • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • Health and Safety Training Regular employees and auxiliary employees in posted positions shall participate in a Health and Safety Training session once in a calendar year. The training program offered by the Employer must be approved by the joint Health and Safety Committee prior to such training commencing. Training will be provided during normal work hours and employees shall suffer no loss of pay or benefits.

  • Apprenticeship and Training It is agreed that all Employers covered by this Agreement shall contribute a sum as listed in Schedule "A" herein for each compensable man-hour of Carpenters, including supervisory employees when covered by this Agreement. Said contribution shall be made to xxx Xxxxxxxxxx- Employers Apprenticeship and Training Trust Fund of Washington-Idaho the manner as set forth in the Trust Agreement of said Trust. The details of such Apprenticeship and Training Plan established by this Trust Fund and this Trust Fund itself shall continue to be controlled and administered by a Joint Board of Trustees composed of equal representation of labor and management who are signators to the Trust Agreement of the aforesaid Trust Fund. Each Trustee appointed by the Union shall be a member of the Union and employed by the Union and each Management trustee shall be a salaried executive or officer of a signatory Employer, or an employee of an Employer association, on behalf of its member employers.
