Health and Safety Training. Regular employees and auxiliary employees in posted positions shall participate in a Health and Safety Training session once in a calendar year. The training program offered by the College must be approved by the joint Health and Safety Committee prior to such training commencing. Training will be provided during normal work hours and employees shall suffer no loss of pay or benefits.
Health and Safety Training. The JOHSC shall ensure that all Employees are provided with the training which they require to carry out their duties in a safe and healthy manner.
Health and Safety Training. The Health and Safety Institute will develop, provide and/or deliver health and safety training that impacts IAM bargaining unit employees.

Health and Safety Training. 42.01 During the negotiations leading to the current Collective Bargaining Agreement, the parties discussed safety training needs for both JHSC members and also for employees. The Employer will work to identify training needs and will receive input from the JHSC in this regard. The Employer will provide the following:
(a) Employee Health and Safety Training
Health and Safety Training. 20.1 The University shall make every reasonable effort to provide employees a safe and healthy working environment. When an employee believes an unsafe or unhealthy working condition exists, the employee shall promptly notify Director of Public Safety, who shall notify the Director of Environmental Health and Safety and his/her supervisor of said condition. The University shall investigate the report and respond to the employee.
20.2 When the University requires an employee to use or wear any health or safety equipment, such equipment will be provided by the University.
20.3 Vehicles used by the employees (whether or not issued to the employee) shall be maintained in a safe operating condition. Vehicles used to transport prisoners shall be equipped with cages.
20.4 When employees are required to drive or operate scooters, golf carts, all terrain vehicles, or other similar vehicles, such vehicles shall be maintained and operated in accordance with their stated warranty. Employees shall be properly trained in the operation of all vehicles prior to use.
20.5 The University shall provide its employees with custom-fitted bullet resistant vests. Vests shall be replaced as per their stated warranty or as directed by the manufacturer’s specifications. The wearing of these vests is at the discretion of the employee however the University reserves the right to require the wearing of the vest under specified conditions or special circumstances. However, employees must keep their vests accessible at all times.
20.6 The University shall provide its employees with a semi-automatic firearm. The type of semi-automatic firearm shall be at the University’s discretion however such semi-automatic firearm shall be suitable to the employee’s stature and hand size.
20.7 In order to promote safety in the use of firearms, the University guarantees that each employee is allowed to fire their firearm in an approved course at least once every six (6) months, at no cost to the employee. Such training shall be for the purpose of qualifying in the use of firearms.
20.8 The University shall issue new factory ammunition for on-duty use at intervals not to exceed twelve (12) months from the previous date of issue.
20.9 The University will provide proper training by a certified instructor on the use of all weapons issued to their employees, i.e. firearms, baton, chemical spray, electric restraining device, etc.

Health and Safety Training. To the extent there are any impact bargaining obligations associated with any such changes, the Committee will meet such obligations.
Health and Safety Training. The Employer shall provide appropriate and adequate safety and health training to all employees. Such training shall be provided on regular work time and the time spent in training shall be considered work time for all purposes.
