Statutory Paid Sick Leave a. Commencing on July 1, 2015 or the first day of employment, whichever is later, employees may use up to a maximum of three (3) days or twenty-four (24) hours, whichever is greater, of Statutory Paid Sick leave per calendar year. Statutory Xxxx Xxxx Leave, as provided for by the Healthy Workplaces, Healthy Families Act of 2014 in Labor Code Section 245 et seq. may be applied to: i. Absence from duty related to the care and treatment of an employee’s personal illness or existing health condition, preventative health care, injury, disability due to pregnancy or childbirth, or medical and dental office appointments when absence during working hours for this purpose is authorized by the Court. ii. Absence from duty because the employee’s presence is needed to attend to the illness, including the care, preventive care, or treatment of a family member. For purposes of this section, “family member,” as defined by Labor Code Section 245.5 (c), includes the following: 1) A child, which means a biological, adopted, or xxxxxx child, stepchild, legal xxxx, or a child to whom the employee stands in loco parentis. This definition is applicable regardless of age or dependency status. 2) A biological, adoptive, or xxxxxx parent, stepparent, or legal guardian of an employee or the employee’s spouse or registered domestic partner, or a person who stood in local parentis when the employee was a minor child. 3) A spouse. 4) A registered domestic partner. 5) A grandparent. 6) A grandchild. 7) A sibling iii. For a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking, an absence related to seeking medical treatment or other relief, such as assistance through the legal system or care facilities intended to ensure the health, safety or welfare of the victim or his or her child, consistent with California Labor Code Sections 230 (c) and 230.1. b. For any of the qualifying events listed under subsection B.2.a., above, an employee shall code his or her timesheet to use accrued Statutory Paid Sick leave prior to using any other sick leave pay code, up to the maximum of three (3) days or twenty-four (24) hours, whichever is greater, per calendar year. c.   • Paid Sick Leave For those jurisdictions that have passed or will pass legislation requiring Paid Sick Leave, Paid Sick Time will be billed back to Client at the straight-time bill rate for all hours taken by any Consultant assigned to Client. This section is not applicable until the effective date of such legislation has been reached.

  • Extended Sick Leave When sick leave extends for more than 25 consecutive working days, the appointing authority shall initiate the following procedure:

  • Accumulated Sick Leave ‌ The Employer shall inform all employees at least once each year of the number of sick days accumulated and shall make the information available to an employee on request.

  • Vacation, Holidays and Sick Leave During the Term, the Executive shall be entitled to paid vacation, paid holidays and sick leave in accordance with the Company's standard policies for its senior executive officers.

  • Cumulative Sick Leave The normal cumulative sick leave allowance each year shall be ten (10) days for employees on thirty-eight (38) through forty-two (42) week assignments. Teachers on eleven (11) and twelve (12) month assignments shall receive one (1) day per month up to a maximum of twelve (12) days each year. A teacher shall be permitted to carry forward the unused portion of sick leave without limit. The balance of accumulated sick leave shall be printed on the teacher's bi-weekly statement of earnings.

  • Vacations and Sick Leave The Executive shall be entitled to paid annual vacation leave in accordance with the policies as established from time to time by the Board of Directors, which shall in no event be less than four weeks per annum. The Executive shall also be entitled to an annual sick leave benefit as established by the Board for senior management employees of the Bank. The Executive shall not be entitled to receive any additional compensation from the Bank for failure to take a vacation or sick leave, nor shall he be able to accumulate unused vacation or sick leave from one year to the next; provided, however, such Executive may carry forward from year to year a maximum of ten days of unused vacation leave.

  • Vacation; Sick Leave During the Employment Term, the Executive shall be entitled to not less than four (4) weeks of vacation during each calendar year and sick leave in accordance with the Company’s policies and practices with respect to its executives.

  • Deductions from Sick Leave A deduction shall be made from accumulated sick leave of all normal working days (exclusive of holidays) absent for sick leave.

  • Unused Sick Leave The accrual of unused sick leave hours is unlimited. The City and the Union commit to the evaluation and establishment of a mutually beneficial non-use of sick leave incentive and pay-out policy. Until such time that a policy is established, accumulated sick leave shall be compensated as follows: Upon retirement from the City service, an employee shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated sick leave, with the rate of payment based upon his regular pay at the time he retires. Upon the death of an employee, his beneficiary shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated unused sick leave, with the payment based upon his regular pay at the date of his death.

  • Accrued 100% sick leave The use of sick leave under this subsection is at the employee's discretion.
