Step III - City Manager. Within seven (7) calendar days of receipt of the department head's answer, the unit employee will forward the grievance to the City Manager. The City Manager will, within seven (7) calendar days, enter his/her decision, the reasons for it and return it to the unit employee. The decision of the City Manager is final and binding on all parties.

Step III - City Manager. In the event that the employee (or the employee’s Association representative) is not satisfied with the decision at Step II, the employee (or the employee’s Association representative) may appeal the decision in writing to the City Manager or his/her designee within ten (10) working days after the termination of Step II. The written statement shall include a copy of the original grievance, the decision rendered at Step II, and a clear and concise statement of the reasons for the appeal. The grievant or the City Manager or his / her designee shall be entitled to a personal conference upon request within the time limits specified. The City Manager or his/her designee shall communicate a decision within ten (10) working days after receiving the appeal or ten (10) working days from the date of the personal conference, whichever is later and such decision will terminate Step III.

  • Step III 12.5.1 If the employee desires to appeal the grievance to Step III, the employee shall complete the appropriate appeal section of the grievance form, sign the appeal, and present the grievance to the Municipal Employee Relations Officer or designee within five (5) working days following receipt of the written decision at Step II.

  • CHECK-OFF UNION DUES 6.1 The Corporation shall, subject to the conditions and exceptions set forth hereunder, deduct from wages due and payable to each employee coming within the scope of this Collective Agreement, an amount equal to the prevailing dues of the Union, including initiation fees, and shall remit the same by cheque, (accompanied by a statement of deductions from individuals) to the Union Local Secretary-Treasurer, not later than fifteen (15) calendar days following the month in which the deductions are made.

  • Step IV If the grievant is not satisfied with the disposition of the grievance or if no disposition has been made within the above stated time limits, the grievant and/or the Association shall complete Grievance Report Form, Step IV, within ten (10) school days after notification of Step III disposition and submit the grievance to final and binding arbitration according to the voluntary rules and regulations of the American Arbitration Association. The Arbitrator's decision will be final and binding on all parties. The cost of arbitration shall be the responsibility of the party losing arbitration.

  • CHECK-OFF OF UNION DUES (a) The Employer shall, as a condition of employment, deduct from the wages or salary of each employee in the bargaining unit, whether or not the employee is a member of the Union, the amount of the regular dues payable to the Union by a member of the Union.

  • COSTS DISTRIBUTED THROUGH COUNTYWIDE COST ALLOCATIONS The indirect overhead and support service costs listed in the Summary Schedule (attached) are formally approved as actual costs for fiscal year 2022-23, and as estimated costs for fiscal year 2024-25 on a “fixed with carry-forward” basis. These costs may be included as part of the county departments’ costs indicated effective July 1, 2024, for further allocation to federal grants and contracts performed by the respective county departments.

  • Step I 18.3.1.1 An employee may present the grievance orally either directly or through the Union representative to the immediate supervisor. The grievance must be presented within ten (10) working days following the event or events on which the grievance is based. The immediate supervisor shall make whatever investigation is necessary to obtain the facts pertaining to the grievance. Within ten (10) working days after receiving the oral grievance, the immediate supervisor shall give the employee an oral reply.
