STEP I. If an employee believes he/she has cause for a grievance, he/she shall file a 18 written grievance with his/her immediate supervisor within twenty (20) 19 working days of the alleged violation. The written information shall include:
STEP I. When an employee(s) has a grievance he/she may file a formal grievance in writing on the Official Grievance Form with his/her supervisor or other designated employer representative. The statement of grievance shall state in writing a complete statement of the facts giving rise to the grievance, the specific article(s), sections, and lines(s) of the Contract which have been violated and the specific relief and/or remedy sought. The Official Grievance Form must be signed by the grievant or grievants. If CWA is representing the grievant and the grievant is unavailable for signature, a union representative may sign the Official Grievance Form on behalf of the grievant. Union grievances as defined in 13.3 of this Article may be signed by a union representative. Such grievance must be filed within fifteen (15) days after the grievant should reasonably have had knowledge of the alleged violation of the Contract or within fifteen (15) days following the conclusion of informal discussion, but in no case may a grievance be filed six (6) months after the occurrence of the act giving rise to the grievance. The immediate supervisor or other designated Board representative shall have fifteen (15) days after receipt of the grievance in which to hold a meeting with the grievant. The grievant shall be advised in writing of the time, place, and date of such meeting. The Supervisor shall render a decision within fifteen (15) days after the conclusion of the hearing by filling out the Official Grievance Form with his or her decision. A written copy of the decision and all relevant information on which the decision was based will be sent to the grievant, and the Union representative.
STEP I. A grievant wishing to assert a grievance shall file same in writing, in compliance with all requirements herein stated, with the immediate supervisor in the College administrative staff, within twenty (s) working days from and after the day when the act or omission giving rise to the grievance occurs, or within twenty (20) working days from and after the day when the grievant acquires or in the exercise of reasonable diligence should have acquired, knowledge of such act or omission. Within ten (10) working days of the receipt of the grievance, the immediate supervisor shall meet with the grievant in an effort to resolve the problem. The immediate supervisor shall indicate in writing within five (5) working days of this meeting the disposition of the grievance. A copy of the disposition shall be furnished to the Union.

  • Should any question arise concerning the application, interpretation or alleged violation of the provisions of this Agreement between the Company and any employee or group of employees, the following procedure shall apply: Step I Any employee Xxxxxxx shall discuss any complaint with immediate supervisor.

  • Step I - six (6) month Letter of Reprimand - other similar incident(s)/infraction(s) while letter active, extends period of retention on file to one (1) year or initiates progression to Step II.

  • Step II - If the grievance has not been resolved in Step I, it is then processed to Step II by presenting it to the superintendent of schools, who shall within ten working days set up a meeting, discuss the problem with the principal and the Association representative and submit his written answer to the Association representative.


More Definitions of STEP I

STEP I. The grievant shall submit to the building principal involved and to the Superintendent a copy of the grievance form. If a grievance involves more than one school building, a copy shall be filed with each of the principals involved. Within ten (10) working days after receipt of the grievance, a meeting shall take place between the Superintendent or his designee, principal(s) and the parties involved, in an effort to resolve the grievance. The Superintendent or his designee and the principal(s) shall indicate in writing the disposition of the grievance to the grievant and to the Association with a copy to the Superintendent within ten (10) working days after such meeting.

The supervisor shall be required to give an oral answer within five (5) days.
STEP I. A grievant shall first notify and discuss the alleged grievance with the appropriate immediate supervisor. This meeting shall be on an informal basis and shall be held within five (5) days following the act or condition which is the basis of the grievance.
