Common use of Step Movement Clause in Contracts

Step Movement. Annual advancement on the salary schedule via step movement is recognized as a component of the employee’s compensation. Annual step movement, as a part of compensation, will be implemented contingent upon and after final contract agreement on compensation between the parties. One step movement will be provided to eligible employees (employed on June 30, 2014) effective July 1, 2014. One step movement will be provided to eligible employees (employed on June 30, 2015) effective July 1, 2015. Beginning with the 2016-­2017 work year, employees must start work prior to December 1 of the previous year to qualify for annual step movement on July 1.
