Stockpiles. Keystone expects to establish a dead storage stockpile of approximately 50,000 Tons of coal (in addition to a live storage stockpile of approximately 10,000 Tons of coal) at the Facility. Keystone shall have the right to purchase, and upon request Seller agrees to deliver, approximately 50,000 Tons of coal for the dead storage stockpile pursuant to monthly Orders of Keystone pursuant to Section 4.3.
Stockpiles. The buyer shall not disturb or remove material from existing stockpiles. Any material extracted by the buyer must be mined according to the approved mining and reclamation plan. Any stockpiles left in the pit by the buyer are the property of the seller unless the buyer receives prior written approval from the seller and, upon approval, purchases the material.
Stockpiles. 1. The holder of a stockpile, which consists of or contains any substance listed in Annex I or Annex II, for which no use is permitted, shall manage that stockpile as waste and in accordance with Article 7.
Stockpiles. The contractor shall plan his activities so that materials excavated from borrow pits and cuttings, in so far as possible, can be transported direct to and placed at the point where it is to be used. However, should temporary stockpiling become necessary, the areas for the stockpiling of excavated and imported material shall be indicated and demarcated on the site plan submitted in writing to the engineer for his approval, together with the contractor’s proposed measures for prevention, containment and rehabilitation against environmental damage. The areas chosen shall have no naturally occurring indigenous trees and shrubs present that may be damaged during operations. Care shall be taken to preserve all vegetation in the immediate area of these temporary stockpiles. During the life of the stockpiles the contractor shall at all times ensure that they are: - Positioned and sloped to create the least visual impact; - Constructed and maintained so as to avoid erosion of the material and contamination of surrounding environment; and - Kept free from all alien/undesirable vegetation. After the stockpiled material has been removed, the site shall be re-instated to its original condition. No foreign material generated / deposited during construction shall remain on site. Areas affected by stockpiling shall be landscaped, top soiled, grassed and maintained at the contractor’s cost until clearance from the engineer and the relevant Authority is received. Material milled from the existing road surface that is temporarily stockpiled in areas approved by the engineer within the road reserve, shall be subject to the same condition as other stockpiled materials. Excess materials from windrows, in-situ milling or any detritus of material from road construction activities may not be swept off the road and left unless specifically instructed to do so in the contract drawing or under instruction from the engineer In all cases, the engineer shall approve the areas for stockpiling and disposal of construction rubble before any operation commences and shall approve their clause only when they have been satisfactorily rehabilitated. (Read with COLTO Specification 3203 and 4306).
Stockpiles. The Village agrees that material stockpiles may be located on any area of the Park so long as the stockpile is removed after a reasonable time period not to exceed the later of either seven (7) years from the date of commencement of construction or the date on which 85 percent of the buildings to be built in the Park have been substantially completed, unless an extension is agreed to by the Village. All material stockpiles shall consist of soil, crushed concrete or crushed asphalt only.
Stockpiles. 1 Obtain prior authorization from the Departmental Representative for temporary stockpile locations on Site. Do not stockpile riprap or granular materials in areas where contamination with the underlying soils can occur. Prepare stockpile areas by grading the area level, and diverting drainage from adjacent areas away from the stockpile locations. .2 Stockpile riprap and granular materials in a manner that minimizes segregation.
Stockpiles. The surface material of the stockpile shall be removed before sampling. At least twelve equal portions shall be taken from different parts of the stockpile, and thoroughly mixed by hand before being quartered down or riffled down to the size required for testing.
Stockpiles. Stockpiles of topsoil, sand, aggregate or other material capable of being moved by water shall be stored clear of any drainage line, easement, natural watercourse, footpath, kerb or roadside.
Stockpiles. Above: This photo illustrates wet suppression, an additional best management practice for stockpiles. Stockpiles are used for both temporary and long-term storage of soil, fill dirt, sand, aggregate, woodchips, mulch, asphalt and other industrial feedstock, construction and landscaping materials. Fugitive dust can be emitted from stockpiles while working the active face of the pile or when wind blows across the pile. The quantity of emissions depends on pile height and exposure to wind, moisture content and particle size of the pile material, surface roughness of the pile, and frequency of pile disturbance.
