Common use of Storm Emergencies Clause in Contracts

Storm Emergencies. (a) The University’s Storm Emergency Policy shall apply to Employees. (b) When a storm emergency closure is called by the University in accordance with the Policy, the AVP & Chief Facilities Officer or designate may deem the closure to be extended beyond its announced expiry, the close of business, or 11:59pm, as the case may be, and the Policy shall continue to apply for the duration of the extension. When a storm emergency closure has not been called by the University in accordance with the Policy, the AVP & Chief Facilities Officer or designate may deem a closure to have been called, specifying the start and end of the closure period, and the Policy shall apply for the duration of the closure. (c) Article 15.12(b) may not be subject to a grievance.
