STRUCTURE OF THIS DELIVERABLE Sample Clauses

STRUCTURE OF THIS DELIVERABLE. The different types and sources of uncertainties that are encountered in modelling, prediction and decision making are covered in Chapter 2 of this report. Chapter 3 gives generic guidelines for selecting the appropriate method for the treatment of uncertainties. The guidelines give information on which techniques can be used for the formulation of uncertainty for input parameters and which methods are applicable to propagate the uncertainty from input to output parameters. A brief review of the most relevant techniques and propagation methods is given in Chapter 4. Chapter 5 contains a description of methods to deal with uncertainty in decision making; here, focus in directed on the description of Bayesian decision methods and analysis. Finally, an example on the modelling and management of uncertainties associated with rockfall hazards following a Bayesian approach is provided in Chapter 6.

STRUCTURE OF THIS DELIVERABLE. ‌ The document is structured as follows. Section 2 describes the state-of-the-art on UML diagrams for the dynamic view of software projects and the graphical editors for creating these diagrams. Section 3 presents an ontology developed for formally representing dynamic artefacts of software projects. Section 4 provides information on the Storyboard Creator, a tool designed for creating and editing storyboards. Section 5 describes the aggregated ontology of S-CASE which includes a unified view of software projects. Finally, Section 6 summarizes our progress on Task 3.2 focusing on the dynamic and unified system representations. 2 State-of-the-art: UML Diagrams and Graphical Editors‌ This Section describes the diagramming techniques of the Unified Modeling Language (UML) for representing dynamic scenarios of software projects. Additionally, we provide a state-of- the-art on graphical diagram editors to justify the need for creating a new diagram editor for storyboards.
STRUCTURE OF THIS DELIVERABLE. The issue of knowledge and uncertainty in the real world decision making platform is introduced in Chapter 2 of this report. Here, a differentiation of uncertainties into aleatory and epistemic uncertainties is introduced, primarily for the purpose of setting focus on how uncertainty may be reduced. In Chapter 3, focus is directed on the uncertainties in the different models used for the quantification of risk and the characterisation of parameters in the models. Guiding principles and a general basis for the modelling and representation of the underlying uncertainties in the use of these models for the quantification and estimation of risks are provided. A Bayesian approach is advocated for the representation, handling and management of uncertainties in the context of decision making and is described in Chapter 4. Finally, an example on the modelling and management of uncertainties associated with rockfall hazards following a Bayesian approach is provided in Chapter 5.
STRUCTURE OF THIS DELIVERABLE. The document is structured as follows. Section 2 describes the concept ontology developed for formally representing semantic information expressed in textual descriptions of software requirements. Section 3 provides information on the semantic parser that we developed for performing the extraction task automatically. Section 4 describes an initial data set of software requirements and an annotation tool developed to manually annotate and revise mappings between text fragments and semantic information. We conclude this document in Section 5 with a summary of our results to date.
