Subsequent Waiver Requests. The School may request additional non-automatic waivers. Upon receipt of such request, the District shall have thirty (30) calendar days to review the request and, thereafter, shall present the matter before the District Board at its next regular meeting. The District agrees to jointly request such a waiver from the State Board, if the District’s Board first approves the request. State Board approval of requests to waive State law or regulations shall not be unreasonably withheld. To the extent the State Board does not grant the requested waivers or imposes conditions upon the School with respect to such waivers, it is agreed that representatives of the Parties shall meet to negotiate the effect of such State Board action. Any such requests for waivers must include a statement articulating how the School plans to comply with the intent of the statute, rule, or policy for which waiver is required.
