SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH. The congregation seeks to provide a safe environment for children and youth. Adult supervision is required at ALL times inside and outside of the church property, including the parking lot. Children and/or siblings of group members must stay with the group or under the care of additional adult supervision and no fewer than two adults should be present at all times during any program or event involving children.

All users of the facility are expected to follow the guidelines of this policy including the following: No fewer than two adults must be present at all times during any program or event involving children. These adults must be 18 or older and must be at least 5 years older than the children with whom they are working. The adults involved with the children must receive annual training related to child abuse prevention. Any questions regarding this policy should be directed to the pastor or Board of Elders.

All other food and drink requires approval in advance as noted in the Room Use Agreement.

Supervising adults must be 18 or older and must be at least 5 years older than the children with whom they are working. Suggested children to adult ratio is 8 to 1.

All users of the facilities are expected to be familiar with and are expected to follow the core principals of CPP - namely that no non-parent/guardian shall be alone with a minor; any and all incidents where there is reasonable suspicion of a minor being physically or sexually endangered shall be reported. This means that adults should be present on the premises BEFORE or at the same arrival time as any children or youth. Classroom doors must remain open at all times that youth are present in classrooms not equipped with glass observation windows. Glass observations windows shall not be covered or obscured.

SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH. 1. There shall be at least two adults in any area with children or youth at all times. If a youth is a class volunteer or working in the nursery, they are considered the second adult. Volunteers shall immediately notify the DFF, FF Greeter, or other UUFD staff whenever there are not at least two adults so that FF staff can assist in providing a second adult or provide for merging of groups for that activity.
