Telephone Call-In. (a) The Employer shall be obligated to call a casual employee only for those days and shifts for which the employee has indicated she/he is available pursuant to (C) (3) above.

The Employer shall commence by calling the most senior employee in the register who meets the criteria specified in (E)(I). The Employer shall permit the telephone to ring a minimum of eight (8) times.

In the event of a dispute the Union shall have reasonable access to the log book and shall be entitled to make copies. In the event that relief is requested with less than twenty-four (24) hours notice, the date and time of the notification shall be recorded in the log book.

This will be done based on seniority with first call going to the most senior casual. The Employer shall permit the telephone to ring a minimum of eight (8) times. If an answering machine is reached and, for a need to be filled of less than twenty-four (24) hours, a message will be left for the casual employee. The casual employee shall return the call within fifteen (15) minutes or the next person on the list will be called and offered the shift.
Telephone Call-In. (1) There shall be a separate call-in list for each classification of employee in the bargaining unit.

If an answering machine is reached for a need to be filled of less than twelve (12) hours’ notice, the next person on the list will be called and offered the shift. For all other calls, the casual shall return the call within fifteen (15) minutes or the next person on the list will be called and offered the shift.
