Temporary Transfer to Accommodate Intermittent Leave or Reduced. Work Schedule When the employee requests FML on an intermittent or a reduced schedule basis due to the planned medical treatment for the employee’s serious health condition or the serious health condition of a family member, AHS may, at its sole discretion, require the employee to transfer temporarily to an available alternate position for which the employee is qualified and which better accommodates the employee's recurring need for leave. Such alternative position shall have equivalent pay and terms and conditions of employment but does not need to have equivalent duties.

  • Intermittent Leave If medically necessary due to the serious medical condition of the employee, or that of the employee's spouse, child, parent, registered domestic partner within the meaning of Minneapolis Code of Ordinances Chapter 142, or other dependents and/or members of their households who have a serious medical condition, leave may be taken on an intermittent schedule. In cases of the birth, adoption or xxxxxx placement of a child, family and medical leave may be taken intermittently only when expressly approved by the Employer.

  • Temporary Layoffs A. The Employer may initiate a temporary layoff for up to twelve (12) working days per fiscal year. Employees will be given thirty (30) days’ notice before the effective date of a temporary layoff. Employees may request alternative temporary layoff days from their manager or supervisor and any requests will be considered and approved or denied in writing.

  • Temporary Military Leave An employee who is a member of the reserve corps of the Armed Forces of the United States or of the National Guard or of the Naval Militia shall be granted a Temporary Military Leave while engaged in military duty ordered for the purposes of military training, drills, encampment, naval cruises, special exercises or like activity as such member providing that the period of ordered duty does not exceed one hundred eighty (180) calendar days including time involved in going to and returning from such duty.

  • Temporary Layoff The Employer may temporarily layoff an employee for up to ninety (90) days due to an unanticipated loss of funding, revenue shortfall, lack of work, shortage of material or equipment, or other unexpected or unusual reasons. An employee will normally receive seven (7) days notice of a temporary layoff.

  • Extended Sick Leave When sick leave extends for more than 25 consecutive working days, the appointing authority shall initiate the following procedure:

  • TEMPORARY LEAVE OF ABSENCE A. Members shall be entitled to the following temporary leaves of absence with full pay each school year. Such days of temporary leave must be taken as either one-half (1/2) or one (1) full working day. No personal leaves of absence shall be taken immediately prior to or immediately after holidays or vacations. Any exceptions must be requested in writing to the Superintendent or his designee and must have written approval.

  • Approved Leave of Absence With Pay During Vacation When an employee is qualified for bereavement leave, sick leave or any other approved leave with pay during her vacation period, there shall be no deduction from the vacation credits for such leave. In the case of sick leave, this section shall only apply when the period of illness or injury is in excess of two (2) days and a note from a physician may be required. The period of vacation so displaced shall be taken at a mutually agreed time. An employee intending to claim displaced vacation leave must advise the Employer and provide necessary documentation within seven (7) days of returning to work.

  • Temporary Leave Teachers who are members of UTW, at the request of UTW, shall be granted leave to participate in certain UTW activities subject to and in accordance with policies of the Board and administrative guidelines.

  • TEMPORARY LEAVES OF ABSENCE A. Teachers will be entitled to the following temporary leaves of absence with full pay each school year:

  • Temporary Disability Leave Employees who are physically unable to perform the functions of their position for medical reasons, may be placed on temporary disability leave. Temporary disability leave shall be granted for illness, injury, surgery, or because of pregnancy or childbirth and shall only be granted for the period of actual disability and shall not exceed one (1) year, or two (2) years in the event of an on-the-job injury.
