The Right to Personal Freedom. Private lives exempt from District scrutiny The District and the Association recognize that the private life of an educator is not within the appropriate concern or attention of the District for purposes of judging his/her professional performance and competency and continued employment status, except as it may directly prevent the educator from properly performing his/her assigned functions during the workday. When the District receives a public record or subpoena request for a current or former employee’s personnel file(s), the District will make a reasonable effort to contact the employee, notify the employee of the request and the District’s obligation to comply, and offer to provide the employee with an opportunity to review the released records with appropriate redacting. When practical and possible, and not otherwise legally constrained, the District will inform the employee of the foregoing prior to or concurrent with actual release of the information.

  • Personal Freedom 20.1 The personal life of an Employee is not an appropriate concern for the attention of the Board except as it may directly inhibit the Employee from performing properly his/her assigned functions during the workday.

  • Damage to personal clothing An employee shall be reasonably compensated for damage to personal clothing worn on duty, or reimbursed dry cleaning charges for excessive soiling to personal clothing worn on duty, provided the damage or soiling did not occur as a result of the employee’s negligence, or failure to wear the protective clothing provided. Each case shall be determined on its merits by the employer.

  • Access to Personal File Upon written request from an employee, he or she and/or his or her Union representative shall have access to his or her official personal file in the presence of an authorized representative of the Corporation. The file should be made available within twenty-four (24) hours following the day of the written request, providing such file is available locally and, in all cases, within five (5) calendar days after the request. Where an employee's file is available for review and/or examination, reports as described in paragraph 10.02(c) are to be removed prior to such review and/or examination.

  • Personal Rights The rules, regulations, and requirements of employment shall be limited to matters pertaining to the work requirements of each employee. Employees will not be required to do personal services for a supervisor which are not connected with the operation of the Employer.

  • Owner’s Right to Perform Work The Owner reserves the right to perform construction or operations related to the Project with Separate Contractors on the Site.   • Right to Privacy 89. Employees will have a reasonable expectation of privacy when a department formally allows employees a closed work area as a locker and/or desk drawer with an individual key.

  • Damage to Personal Property The Employer will provide reimbursement for reasonable repair or replacement of damages incurred to the employee's eyeglasses, contact lenses or other prosthesis, ripped uniforms, or personal clothing, as a result of being assaulted while performing his/her work. The employee must report the incident by the end of their shift. The employee will present her or his receipt to the Employer within seven (7) days after the event, unless it was impossible for her or him to do so during this period. The Employer will reimburse up to a maximum of one hundred dollars ($100) per incident except for eyeglasses, which shall have a maximum reimbursement of three hundred dollars ($300).

  • Injury or Damage to Person or Property If either party suffers injury or damage to person or property because of an act or omission of the other party, or of others for whose acts such party is legally responsible, written notice of such injury or damage, whether or not insured, shall be given to the other party within a reasonable time not exceeding twenty-one (21) calendar days after discovery. The notice shall provide sufficient detail to enable the other party to investigate the matter.

  • Personal Grievance The personal grievance provisions in Part 11 of this Agreement are available to an employee who is aggrieved by any action of their employer taken under these provisions.

  • Right to Grieve Where an employee feels that she has been aggrieved by a decision of the Employer related to promotion, demotion or transfer, the employee may grieve the decision at Step 3 of the grievance procedure in Article 9 of this Agreement within seven (7) days of being notified of the results.
