Time Off for Presenting Grievances. A member and Grievance Representative shall be allowed time off from regular duties with pay for attendance at scheduled meetings under the Grievance Procedure with prior approval of the Chief, which approval will not be unreasonably withheld. Grievance Meetings at Step 1 and Step 2 shall be held during the grievant’s shift hours or immediately before or immediately after said shift hours, as reasonably determined by the Chief.
