Time off to attend interviews etc Sample Clauses

Time off to attend interviews etc. In a redundancy situation, the company will be sympathetic to the efforts of those affected to try and arrange alternate employment prior to termination with Henkel. Paid time off to attend interviews will be allowed subject to agreement by the Company and subject to satisfactory evidence being provided to demonstrate the requirement for this time off. This paid time off will not be unreasonably refused by the Company. To best ensure that arrangements can be made to allow a person time off to attend an interview the following steps need to be involved. • As much notice as possible • A willingness amongst other employees to cover their workmate’s absence without the business being obliged to cover on overtime • The provision of details related to the interview, including a contact phone number • Recognition that whilst every effort will be made to allow a person time off when requested there may be situations (e.g. short notice given, a number of other people absent) where this may not be possible. Such situations can be minimised if all parties work together during a redundancy program.
