TRAINING AND SALARY. The Employer agrees that all local Indians and Indian employees will be adequately trained for the position for which they are hired. The Employer will evaluate all Indian employees and pay Indian employees in accordance with current employer company policy and contract provisions.

TRAINING AND SALARY. A. At the request of the TERO Director or the Director’s designee, the Employer may be required to establish or participate in such training programs as the TERO Director determines necessary, in order to increase the pool of qualified Indians within Seneca Nation Lands as quickly as possible. B. All Indian employees will be evaluated and paid according to current Employer and Company policies.
TRAINING AND SALARY. The Employer agrees that all local Indian employees will receive adequate training for the position for which they are hired. All native employees will be evaluated and paid in accordance with a training plan set forth between the contractor and TERO. All contractors shall compensate their Employees at a rate not less than the approved Quinault Construction wage scale specified for their trade or the prevailing wage scale per Contract requirements. If the company is signatory to a Construction trade union, the current union pay scale with fringe benefits of that trade will be paid, in cash, unless otherwise specified through any other compliance plan or Contract; provided, that it is not less than the Quinault Construction wage scale. Employers operating during hours when the TERO office is closed (i.e. weekends, holidays, etc.) who are in need of workers to fill a vacancy will be authorized to place an emergency worker to fill the vacancy. This emergency placement shall be allowed for no longer than seventy-two (72) hours. The TERO will be notified of such hires immediately upon the next working day and the position will be filled by TERO worker(s) unless none are available.   • Training and Orientation (a) No employee shall be required to work on any job or operate any piece of equipment until he/she has received proper training and instruction. (b) The Employer shall provide sufficient and adequate training and/or orientation to any employee working in a new or unfamiliar work area or position.

  • Employment and Training Administration The ratio of trainees to journeymen on the job site shall not be greater than permitted under the plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration. Every trainee must be paid at not less than the rate specified in the approved program for the trainee's level of progress, expressed as a percentage of the journeyman hourly rate specified in the applicable wage determination. Trainees shall be paid fringe benefits in accordance with the provisions of the trainee program. If the trainee program does not mention fringe benefits, trainees shall be paid the full amount of fringe benefits listed on the wage determination unless the Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division determines that there is an apprenticeship program associated with the corresponding journeyman wage rate on the wage determination which provides for less than full fringe benefits for apprentices. Any employee listed on the payroll at a trainee rate who is not registered and participating in a training plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the classification of work actually performed. In addition, any trainee performing work on the job site in excess of the ratio permitted under the registered program shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the work actually performed. In the event the Employment and Training Administration withdraws approval of a training program, the contractor will no longer be permitted to utilize trainees at less than the applicable predetermined rate for the work performed until an acceptable program is approved.
