Training and Technology Transfer. The Contractor shall comply with the programs for training and technology transfer approved by the CNH in the Exploration Plan, in the Appraisal Plan and in the Development Plan. The referred activities and programs shall include, among others, the adoption, innovation, assimilation, technological research and development, and formation of local human resources in scientific and technological research applied to the Exploration and Extraction of Hydrocarbons in coordination with national institutions of higher education.

Training and Technology Transfer. The Contractor shall conduct training sessions in areas related to the scope of services in this RFP, with the objective of transferring technical design knowledge and skills to City staff. While training topics will be determined jointly with City, potential training topics may include but are not limited to the foliowing: alternative contract delivery methodologies, biosolids treatment technologies, design and construction of biosolids treatment and energy recovery processes, process modeling (e.g., BioWIN model), facility operation and start-up, public communication strategies, and/or lessons learned.

The Consultant may be required to provide formal and informal training as part of technology transfer to Department staff in the areas of performance evaluation and condition assessment of pavement systems as well as operation of certain test equipment and data acquisition systems, certain desktop and mainframe data processing methods, software and applications as directed by the Department.

The training programmes shall from time to time focus both on technical and administrative matters, including contract administration. The cost of such employee training will be a normal cost of business included in operating and maintenance expenses.
