Transfer and Seniority Outside Bargaining Unit. No employee shall be transferred to a position outside the bargaining unit without their consent. Ifan employee is transferred to a position outside ofthe bargaining unit, they shall retain their seniority accumulated up to the date ofleaving the unit, but will not accumulate any further seniority. Ifthe position to which the employee is transferred is permanent, they shall only have the right to return to their former position in the bargaining unit during the trial period in the position. Ifthe position to which the employee is transferred is for a fixed term, the employee shall have the right to return to their former position at the completion ofthe term, providing the term does not exceed one (1) year. In the case of a parental leave coverage, the parties agree this right will be extended to allow for full coverage of the term.
