Transfer to a Safe Job during Pregnancy. Purpose 115.1 This clause provides arrangements to enable a pregnant employee to be transferred to an appropriate safe job during their pregnancy or enable them to be absent from their workplace if an appropriate safe job is not available.
Transfer to a Safe Job during Pregnancy a) This section applies to a pregnant Employee if: i) She is entitled to unpaid Parental Leave under clause 56.1; and ii) She provides to the Employer evidence that would satisfy a reasonable person that she is fit for work, but that it is inadvisable for her to continue in her present position during a stated period (the risk period) because of: - Illness, or risks, arising out of her pregnancy; or - Hazards connected with that position. b) If this Section applies to an Employee: i) The Employer must transfer the Employee to an appropriate and available safe job during the risk period with no other change to the Employee’s terms and conditions of employment; or ii) If there is no appropriate safe job available, the Employee will be entitled to paid no safe job leave for the risk period at the Employee’s Base Rate of Pay for her ordinary hours of work in the risk period.

  • Death During Active Service If the Executive dies while in the active service of the Company, the Company shall pay to the Executive's beneficiary the benefit described in this Section 3.1. This benefit shall be paid in lieu of the Lifetime Benefits of Article 2.

  • Outside Activities During Employment Except with the prior written consent of the Board, you will not during the term of your employment with the Company undertake or engage in any other employment, occupation or business enterprise, other than ones in which you are a passive investor. You may engage in civic and not-for-profit activities so long as such activities do not materially interfere with the performance of your duties hereunder. You agree not to acquire, assume or participate in, directly or indirectly, any position, investment or interest known to be adverse or antagonistic to the Company, its business or prospects, financial or otherwise.

  • Union Activity During Working Hours Solicitation of Union membership or collection or checking of dues will not be conducted during working time. The Company agrees not to discriminate in any way against any employee for Union activity, but such activity shall not be carried on during working time, except as specifically allowed by the provisions of this Agreement.

  • Employee Leaving During Notice An employee whose employment is to be terminated for reasons set out in this clause may terminate employment during the period of notice and, if so, shall be entitled to the same benefits and payments under this clause had the employee remained with the employer until the expiry of such notice. This is with the provision that in such circumstances the employee shall not be entitled to payment instead of notice.

  • Employment During Unpaid Maternity Leave Where less than the 52 weeks Other Parent Leave is taken paid or unpaid, the unused portion of the leave cannot be banked or preserved in any way.

  • Communication during parental leave (a) Where an employee is on parental leave and a definite decision has been made to introduce significant change at the workplace, the employer shall take reasonable steps to: (i) make information available in relation to any significant effect the change will have on the status or responsibility level of the position the employee held before commencing parental leave; and (ii) provide an opportunity for the employee to discuss any significant effect the change will have on the status or responsibility level of the position the employee held before commencing parental leave. (b) The employee shall take reasonable steps to inform the employer about any significant matter that will affect the employee’s decision regarding the duration of parental leave to be taken, whether the employee intends to return to work and whether the employee intends to request to return to work on a part-time basis. (c) The employee shall also notify the employer of changes of address or other contact details which might affect the employer’s capacity to comply with (a) above.

  • Death During Benefit Period If the Executive dies after the benefit payments have commenced under this Agreement but before receiving all such payments, the Company shall pay the remaining benefits to the Executive's beneficiary at the same time and in the same amounts they would have been paid to the Executive had the Executive survived.

  • Employee leaving during notice period An employee given notice of termination in circumstances of redundancy may terminate their employment during the period of notice. The employee is entitled to receive the benefits and payments they would have received under this clause had they remained in employment until the expiry of the notice, but is not entitled to any payment in lieu of any remaining notice.

  • Rejection During Probation ‌ (a) The Employer may reject any probationary employee for just cause. A rejection during probation shall not be considered a dismissal for the purpose of Clause 10.

  • Data Protection During Transmission DST shall encrypt, using an industry standard encryption algorithm, personally identifiable Fund Data when such data is transmitted.
