Employee Leaving During Notice. An employee whose employment is to be terminated for reasons set out in this clause may terminate employment during the period of notice and, if so, shall be entitled to the same benefits and payments under this clause had the employee remained with the employer until the expiry of such notice. This is with the provision that in such circumstances the employee shall not be entitled to payment instead of notice.
Employee Leaving During Notice. An employee whose employment is terminated on account of redundancy may terminate employment during the period of notice. In this case the employee is entitled to the same benefits and payments under the Clause as if remaining with the employer until the expiry of such notice. In such circumstances the employee is not entitled to payment in lieu of notice.

Employee Leaving During Notice. An employee who is to be retrenched may terminate his/her employment during the notice period. He/she would still be entitled to the same benefits and severance pay mentioned above, but not to pay in lieu of notice.
