Transitional Provisions. 12.1. As from the official date of entry into force of the 03 series of amendments, no Contracting Party applying this Regulation shall refuse to grant or refuse to accept type approvals under this Regulation as amended by the 03 series of amendments. 12.2. As from 1 September 2023, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall not be obliged to accept type approvals to the preceding series of amendments, first issued after 1 September 2023. 12.3. Until 1 September 2025, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall accept type approvals to the preceding series of amendments, first issued before 1 September 2023. 12.4. As from 1 September 2025, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall not be obliged to accept type approvals issued to the preceding series of amendments to this Regulation. 12.5. Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall not refuse to grant type approvals according to any preceding series of amendments to this Regulation or extensions thereof. 12.6. Notwithstanding the transitional provisions above, Contracting Parties who start to apply this Regulation after the date of entry into force of the most recent series of amendments are not obliged to accept type approvals which were granted in accordance with any of the preceding series of amendments to this Regulation. Transitional Provisions. 12.1. As from the official date of entry into force of the 03 02 series of amendments, no Contracting Party applying this Regulation shall refuse to grant or refuse to accept type approvals approval under this Regulation as amended by the 03 02 series of amendments. 12.2. As from 1 September 2023[36] months after the date of entry into force of the 02 series of amendments, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall not grant approvals only if the vehicle type to be obliged to accept type approvals to approved meets the preceding requirements of this Regulation as amended by the 02 series of amendments, first issued after 1 September 2023. 12.3. Until 1 September 2025, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall accept type continue to grant approvals to those types of vehicles which comply with the requirements of this Regulation as amended by the preceding series of amendments during the [36] months' period which follows the date of entry into force of the 02 series of amendments, first issued before 1 September 2023. 12.4. As from 1 September 2025, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall not be obliged refuse to accept type approvals issued grant extensions of approval to the preceding series of amendments to this Regulation. 12.5. Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall not refuse to grant type approvals according to any preceding series of amendments to this Regulation or extensions thereof. 12.6. Notwithstanding the transitional provisions above, Contracting Parties who start to apply whose application of this Regulation comes into force after the date of entry into force of the most recent series of amendments are not obliged to accept type approvals which were granted in accordance with any of the preceding series of amendments to this Regulation. Transitional Provisions. 12.110.1. Notwithstanding the transitional provisions above, Contracting Parties who start to apply this Regulation after the date of entry into force of the most recent series of amendments are not obliged to accept type approvals which were granted in accordance with any of the preceding series of amendments to this Regulation / are only obliged to accept type approval granted in accordance with the 01 series of amendments. 10.6. Notwithstanding paragraph 10.4., Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall continue to accept type approvals issued according to the preceding series of amendments to this Regulation, for the vehicles/vehicle systems which are not affected by the changes introduced by the 01 series of amendments. 10.7. Annex 1 - Part 1 Communication (Maximum format: A4 (210 x 297 mm)) Issued by: Name Contracting Parties applying this Regulation may grant type approvals according to any preceding series of administration: Concerning2: Approval granted, Approval extended, Approval refused, Approval withdrawn, Production definitively discontinued, amendments to this Regulation.3 10.8. Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall continue to grant extensions of a vehicle type with regard existing approvals to its electrical safety pursuant any preceding series of amendments to Regulation No. 100this Regulation.3

Transitional Provisions. 12.131.1. As from the official date of entry into force of the 03 series of amendments, no Contracting Party applying this Regulation shall refuse to grant or refuse to accept type approvals of vehicles, components or separate technical units under Parts I, II or III of this Regulation as amended by the 03 series of amendments. 12.231.2. Until 1 September 2019, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall not refuse to grant or refuse to accept type approvals of vehicles, components or separate technical units under Part I, II or III of this Regulation as amended by the 02 series of amendments. 31.3. As from 1 September 20232019, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall grant approvals only if the type of vehicle, component or separate technical unit to be approved meets the requirements of Part I, II or III of this Regulation as amended by the 03 series of amendments. 31.4. As from 1 September 2021, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall not be obliged to accept accept, for the purpose of national or regional type approvals to approval, a vehicle, component or separate technical unit which is not type approved under Part I, II or III of the preceding series of amendments, first issued after 1 September 2023. 12.3. Until 1 September 2025, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall accept type approvals to the preceding series of amendments, first issued before 1 September 2023. 12.4. As from 1 September 2025, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall not be obliged to accept type approvals issued to the preceding 03 series of amendments to this Regulation. 12.531.5. Until 1 September 2021, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall not refuse to grant type extensions of approval for vehicles, components or separate technical units which comply with this Regulation as amended by the 02 series of amendments. However, Contracting Parties which are still accepting approvals according to any preceding the 02 series of amendments as given in paragraph 31.4. beyond 1 September 2021 shall not refuse to this Regulation or grant extensions thereofto approvals after 1 September 2021. 12.631.6. Notwithstanding the transitional provisions above, Contracting Parties who start to apply whose application of this Regulation comes into force after the date of entry into force of the most recent series of amendments are not obliged to accept type approvals which were granted in accordance with any of the preceding series of amendments to this Regulation. Transitional Provisions. 12.19.1. As from the official date of entry into force of the 03 series of amendmentsamendments to this Regulation, no Contracting Party applying this Regulation shall refuse an application for approval under this Regulation as amended by the 03 series of amendments. At the request of the manufacturer, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation may agree to the application of these amendments before the official date of their entry into force. 9.2. As from 24 months after the official date of entry into force mentioned in paragraph 9.1., Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall grant or refuse approvals only if the type of vehicle corresponds to accept type approvals under the requirements of the Regulation as amended by the 03 series of amendments. 9.3. Approvals granted before the end of the 24-month period following the official date of entry into force shall cease to be valid 48 months after the date of entry into force mentioned in paragraph 9.1., unless the Contracting Party which granted the approval notifies the other Contracting Parties applying this Regulation that the type-approved vehicle meets the requirements of this Regulation as amended by the 03 series of amendments. 12.2. As from 1 September 2023, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall not be obliged to accept type approvals to the preceding series of amendments, first issued after 1 September 2023. 12.3.
