Transportation of passengers open LDV’s: No Eskom employee or Contractor would be allowed to transport passengers on the back of open light delivery vehicles (LDV’s). It is a legal requirement to provide safe transportation of Eskom and Contractor employees – therefore the following will be enforced: All passengers must be transported in a closed vehicle with proper and adequate Seating, fitted with safety belt for the number of passengers to be transported. Tools and equipment must be properly secured. Only authorised drivers may transport passengers. Proof must be submitted on request in terms of valid roadworthiness of all vehicles The above must apply to on site and off site transportation of passengers.
