Travel Time; Study Time; Free Time. The City will pay for travel time to attend training that occurs out of town if such travel time occurs during the course of the member’s scheduled work day or other hours that have been adjusted such that they are counted as work hours. For purpose of compensation, travel time ordinarily begins when the member leaves the police department and concludes upon arrival at the training location. Likewise, return travel time ordinarily begins when the member departs the training location and concludes when the member returns to the police department. This excludes rest breaks and meal breaks during duty hours as outlined in this contract. Prior approval by management is required for members to begin or conclude work-related travel from their residence. Travel time will be counted as hours worked and will be used towards the work week hours (Article 9.3). Study time assigned with training and any free time before, during, or after the training hours shall not be compensable. The City may reassign officers to day shift (8 hour days) for days when they attend training in accordance with Article 9, Working Conditions.

  • Travel time allowance All employees shall be paid an allowance (See Appendix A) for each day on which they present themselves for work. The allowance shall also be paid for rostered days off.

  • Prime Time Vacation Period Subject to the provisions of this article, it is the intent of the parties that no employee will be restricted in the time of year they choose to take their vacation. The Employer will make every effort to allow employees to take their vacation during the period of April 15th to October 15th inclusive, which will be defined as the prime time vacation period.

  • Travel Time Leave provided in paragraphs A and B of this Article shall apply to and cover actual and necessary travel to and from such meetings required during normal working hours on the day of the meeting or negotiations, except that MSEA-SEIU bargaining team members traveling 100 miles or more to negotiations shall be entitled to travel time outside of days of negotiations.

  • More Time Needed If the Engineer determines or reasonably anticipates that the work authorized in a work authorization cannot be completed before the specified completion date, the Engineer shall promptly notify the State. The State may, at its sole discretion, extend the work authorization period by execution of supplemental authorization, using the form attached hereto as Attachment D.   • Lunch Time The “duty free” lunch time for assistants will be the same length as the building lunch time for students provided that the lunch is no less than thirty (30) minutes in length.

  • Work Time A. Work time includes time during which an employee:

  • Part-Time Nurse is a Nurse hired to a position to work on a regular or temporary basis that is less than the work period of a Full-Time Nurse.

  • Full-Time and Part-Time Employees (a) The base rates of pay in the appropriate employment classification for full-time employees and for part-time employees shall be the hourly rates of pay set out in the Tables in Schedule B to this Agreement.

  • Comp Time In lieu of payment for overtime hours worked, the employee may request to take compensatory time off. Approval shall be at the discretion of the Department Head. If the request is approved by the Department Head, one and one-half (1 2) hours of compensatory time shall be credited for each overtime hour worked. A maximum accrual of compensatory time shall be forty (40) hours. Flex Time. The County recognizes and supports the concept of Flex time. Flex time is allowed within the work week as it is defined in Article 20, Section 2 of this contract. If an employee requests, an employee and their department head may agree to allow an employee to flex their schedule. However, in some departments and under some circumstances flex time may not be feasible and will not be permitted. No employee shall be required to take flex time off in order to avoid the payment of overtime or as a condition of continued employment.

  • Part-Time Work An employee who is pregnant or is entitled to parental leave may, by agreement with the employer, reduce the employee’s hours of employment to an agreed extent subject to the following conditions:
