Trimming of Trees and Shrubbery. The Grantee shall have the authority to trim trees or other natural growth overhanging any of its Cable System in the Franchise Area so as to prevent contact with the Grantee’s wires, cables, or other equipment. All such trimming shall be done at the Grantee’s sole cost and expense. The Grantee shall be responsible for any damage caused by such trimming.

Grantee shall follow such local laws as exist currently or as may be adopted or amended during the term of this Franchise relating to tree trimming. The Grantee shall reasonably compensate the City or property owner for any damages caused by such trimming, or shall, in its sole discretion and at its own cost and expense, reasonably replace all trees or shrubs damaged, with similar size, shape, or otherwise City approved, as a result of any construction or maintenance of the system undertaken by Grantee.
