Common use of Twelve Hour Shift Employees Clause in Contracts

Twelve Hour Shift Employees. (1) Notwithstanding Article 11.02(2), if an employee is scheduled to work on a holiday, but is not required to work, the employee will be paid twelve (12) hours holiday allowance instead of eight (8) hours. This will apply only to those employees who are told not to report for work even though they are scheduled for the holiday. In addition, the determination for the current average weekly hours over the twenty-seven (27) week cycle when calculating the holiday allowance, will be taken into consideration as payment for a scheduled day.
