U NIFORMS. 7.01 The Employer shall furnish and pay for uniforms for employees (as it deems necessary). The style, type and quantity of specific items shall be determined by the Employer. Such uniforms shall remain the property of the Employer. All uniform items, including the shirts, shall be replaced on a one-for-one exchange basis when deemed appropriate by management. The Employer shall direct the appropriate code of uniform dress. 7.02 For vests purchased after the date of ratification, the Employer shall reimburse employees for 50% of the cost of a new approved bullet-resistant vest to a maximum of $275.00 for all employees that work on the road. A list of approved vests appear in N.I.J. standard 0101 03 Part-time employees will be entitled to the same benefit providing they remain at the employ of Brinks for 24 months period from the date of purchase. Vests are encouraged to be worn at all times. The Employer shall have no liability as a consequence of vest failure, as the vest is to be purchased and utilized as herein provided is at the sole discretion of the employee. It is agreed that an employee must reimburse the Company paid portion of the vest if the employee leaves the employ of the company within one (1) year of the pu rchase of the new vest. The Company further agrees to payroll deduction of fifty dollars ($50.00) per month or twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per pay until the full value of the employee's portion is paid. Employees will be eligible to replace vests once every five (5) years. 7.03 It is understood that only one xxxx bursement will take place in the above referred to period. 7.04 The Employer agrees to provide a Safety Footwear Allowance by xxxx bursing employees up to one hundred and twenty-five dollars ($125.00) in year two (2) and four (4) of the collective agreement. The employee must submit a receipt in order to be reimbursed. The Safety Footwear must be black and CSA approved, with steel toes and in compliance with the Brinks' Uniform and Appearance Policy. Part-time employees will be entitled to the same benefit providing they remain at the employ of Brink's for at least six (6) months after ratification and work at least two hundred and forty (240) hours.
U NIFORMS. A) Effective Fiscal Year 2019-20, funding shall be placed in the Fire Department budget in the amount of $1,200 per allocated position for uniform purchases for the following classifications: Firefighter, Fire Apparatus Engineer, Fire Captain and Heavy Fire Equipment Operator. An additional $1,250 per new hire shall be added to the above budget provided the new hire is for a newly allocated position or replacing a vacancy that occurred more than 30 days after the beginning of the fiscal year. Funds remaining in the Fire Department budget UNIFORM ALLOWANCE line item 822050 at the end of the fiscal year shall be encumbered and will carry over to the following year. 1. For employees hired on or after January 1, 2013 and designated as “new members” to CalPERS, any uniform allowance will not be subject to reporting as special compensation to PERS pursuant to AB 340/SB197 (Public Employee Pension Reform Act of 2013). 2. For employees hired prior to January 1, 2013 or otherwise designated as “classic” members, the uniform allowance continues to be subject to reporting as special compensation to PERS. For payroll purposes, effective the first full pay period in Fiscal Year 2016-17 (pay period 2016-15), the uniform annual allowance will be reported to PERS for each classic member as 1/26 of the annual allowance each pay period the employee is on the regular County payroll in paid status. The uniform allowance shall not be reported for any pay period the employee is in unpaid status the entire pay period. B) The Fire Department shall make an initial purchase and provide to each eligible employee the following items:
U NIFORMS. Each team shall wear a CVPFC approved uniform at all league and tournament games. All uniforms/gear must be ordered through xxxxxx.xxx. Any items not ordered through CVPFC/xxxxxx.xxx must be approved by Executive Director before purchase made.

  • UNIFORMS AND EQUIPMENT Section 1. Sworn employees of the Sheriff’s Office who are assigned to positions requiring a uniform shall receive Agency-provided uniforms and accessories in accordance with Agency policy at no cost to the employee. Uniforms worn out through normal use shall be replaced by the Sheriff’s Office as determined and approved by the supply staff. Section 2. Employees shall be permitted to purchase additional approved uniform pieces, excluding badges, from the Purchasing and Materials Division, provided sufficient quantities are on hand to cover the normal, required provision of uniforms to employees as per Section 1 above. Employees must pay for these items at the time of purchase or order. Section 3. Employees assigned to uniformed positions shall be eligible to receive a uniform maintenance allowance in the amount of $150 per year provided the employee spent at least 182 days of the calendar year in a uniform assignment. This allowance will be paid to all eligible employees in the last paycheck of the calendar year each December during the term of this Agreement. Section 4. The Sheriff’s Office shall issue body armor to employees and replace same in accordance with General Order 5-1. Section 5. In the event an employee leaves the employ of the Sheriff’s Office, he shall return to the Sheriff’s Office all equipment, uniforms and accessories, including those personally purchased by the employee in accordance with Section 2 above. Section 6. Employees whose prescription eyeglasses, contact lenses, hearing aids or watches are lost, damaged, or destroyed in the line of duty, except in cases where employee negligence caused or contributed to same, will be reimbursed for repair or replacement subject to the criteria detailed below. The Sheriff’s Office shall not reimburse for any other personal property lost, damaged or destroyed in the line of duty. The maximum reimbursement for prescription eyeglasses or hearing aids is the actual cost to repair or replace the item or $150, whichever is less. The maximum reimbursement for contact lenses or watches is the actual cost to repair or replace the item or $50, whichever is less. Requests for reimbursement for the personal property shall be made in writing to the employee’s immediate supervisor during the work shift in which the article of personal property was lost, damaged or destroyed. Except in cases of loss or when an item is repairable, the item for which reimbursement is sought should be turned in along with the written request for reimbursement. To aid in establishing the amount to be reimbursed, the employee will be required to provide to the Sheriff’s Office the receipt for the repair or replacement prior to reimbursement which must be approved by the Sheriff or his designee.

  • Alcohol Testing Alcohol testing will be conducted by using an evidential breath-testing device (EBT) approved by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. A screening test will be conducted first. This initial screening may be accomplished using a saliva test kit. If the result is an alcohol concentration level of less than 0.02 percent, the test is considered a negative test. If the alcohol concentration level is 0.02 percent or more, a second confirmation test using the EBT will be conducted. The procedures that will be utilized by the lab for collection and testing of the specimen are attached hereto as Appendix A.

  • Classroom Management The certificated classroom teacher demonstrates in his/her performance a competent level of knowledge and skill in organizing the physical and human elements in the educational setting.

  • TOOL STORAGE 1. A company shall provide on all construction jobs in towns and cities, and elsewhere where reasonably necessary and practicable (or if requested buy the employee), a suitable and secure waterproof lock-up solely for the purpose of storing employees’ tools, and on multi-storey and major projects the company shall provide, where possible, a suitable lock-up for employees’ tools within a reasonable distance of the work area of large groups of employees. 2. Where an employee is absent from work because of illness or accident and has advised the company in accordance with Clause 33 – Personal Leave of the award, the company shall ensure that the employee’s tools are securely stored during his/her absence.

  • System Upgrades The Connecting Transmission Owner shall procure, construct, install, and own the System Upgrade Facilities and System Deliverability Upgrades described in Attachment 6 of this Agreement. To the extent that design work is necessary in addition to that already accomplished in the Class Year Interconnection Facilities Study for the Interconnection Customer, the Connecting Transmission Owner shall perform or cause to be performed such work. If all the Parties agree, the Interconnection Customer may construct System Upgrade Facilities and System Deliverability Upgrades. 5.2.1 As described in Section 32.3.5.3 of the SGIP in Attachment Z of the ISO OATT, the responsibility of the Interconnection Customer for the cost of the System Upgrade Facilities and System Deliverability Upgrades described in Attachment 6 of this Agreement shall be determined in accordance with Attachment S of the ISO OATT, as required by Section 32.3.5.3.2

  • Substance Abuse Testing The Parties agree that it is in the best interest of all concerned to promote a safe working environment. The Union has no objection to pre-employment substance abuse testing when required by the Employer and further, the Union has no objection to voluntary substance abuse testing to qualify for employment on projects when required by a project owner. The cost and scheduling of such testing shall be paid for and arranged by the Employer. The Union agrees to reimburse the Employer for any failed pre-access Alcohol and Drug test costs.

  • Electrical Equipment Residents must use only CSA, UL-approved or Canadian-certified electrical equipment; the rated wattage of light fixtures must never be exceeded; and only replacement bulbs supplied by Waterloo maintenance staff may be used. Do not leave any unattended electrical equipment turned on (i.e. hair straighteners, lights etc.)
