UNIFORMS AND TOOLS. The Employer agrees to furnish and supply all its employees, without cost, laundered aprons and uniforms and such tools as are necessary in the discharge of their work and also service such tools at no cost to the employees.
UNIFORMS AND TOOLS. 18.01 Launderable outer working clothing, oilskin aprons, oilskin sleeves, gloves, hair nets, hard hats, ear muffs, and clothing for work in the freezer specified by the Employer as required, will be supplied to Employees by the Employer. All items supplied by the Employer remain the property of the Employer and shall not be removed from the Employer's premises without permission but must be returned to the Employer for new issue. Any items not returned to the Employer will be paid for by the Employee. The Employer will make the necessary arrangements for the laundering of such clothing.
18.02 The Employer will provide to applicable Employees all knives, steels, whetstones, etc. The use of these tools is subject to the establishment of regulations necessary to prevent abuse. All tools and working equipment will remain the property of the Employer.
18.03 Employees in the Sanitation Department and Smokehouse Operators and Assistant Smokehouse Operators plus one
(1) designated person who performs the majority of his or her work within and around the Smokehouse area will be given a footwear allowance in the amount of one hundred and twenty five dollars ($125.00) per year, which will be paid each year on the anniversary date of this Agreement. All other Employees working in the Plant (excluding the Office) will be given a footwear allowance in the amount of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) per year, which will be paid each year on the anniversary date of this Agreement.
18.04 A tool allowance up to a maximum of one hundred dollars ($100.00) every three (3) months will be paid to the Maintenance Department Employee(s), upon presentation of receipts, to replace worn and broken tools.
18.05 All Employees will wear ear protection while working in the plant. Ear muffs will be provided and if lost will be replaced by the employee at his or her cost. If an Employee chooses, the cost of the first pair of custom fitted ear plugs will be split between the Employer and Employee. Each four (4) years, the Employer will pay 50% of the cost of refitting an Employee with new custom fitted ear plugs.
UNIFORMS AND TOOLS. 56. All Employees shall keep themselves clean and neat. When special uniforms are required by the Employer, the Employer shall supply such uniforms.
57. Employees shall keep equipment and company-owned vehicles, within their control, in a neat, clean and safe condition.
58. Employees doing service or maintenance work may be required to furnish their own hand tools. Pipe threading and pipe cutting tools, vises, welding torches, power tools and instruments for measuring temperatures, pressure, air velocities, voltage and amperages shall not be deemed hand tools and shall be furnished by the Employer. Employees’ tools that are broken or damaged shall be repaired or replaced by the Employer. Employees shall be responsible for tools, equipment, vehicles and instruments supplied by the Employer, provided mutual security arrangements are made. Establishment of carelessness or negligence on the part of the Employee shall make the Employee liable for replacement of lost or stolen tools.

Employees required to work outside in foul weather conditions shall be furnished with protective outer clothing when performing such work.

The cost of the purchase, lease, or rental of uniforms, tools, and protective gear, identification badges, emblems, and cards required by the District shall be borne by the District. The aforementioned articles shall be retained as property of the District and shall be surrendered upon demand.
B. Each employee shall be provided an area for the purpose of storing coats, jackets and other articles of clothing. The employee, upon request, shall be issued a secure storage area with a key for the purpose of storing personal property.
C. Each employee shall be provided the District’s procedures for filing claims concerning damage and/or loss incurred to any personal property.
D. Employees, who as part of their District assignment, regularly lift and/or push items of more than fifteen (15) pounds, shall be issues back support belts. These employees shall be required to wear such belts consistently unless the employee presents written medical documentation to the contrary. The belts shall be selected, after approval by the Union and the District, and purchased by the District. The belts shall remain District property. Employees in such assignments shall receive training in the proper methods of lifting and pushing weights and in the proper ergonomic design of areas where lifting and pushing occurs. Employees shall be responsible for performing their duties according to that training. Employees who do not regularly lift and/or push items of more than fifteen (15) pounds shall have back support belts available to them upon request when they are required to do such lifting or pushing. Knee pads shall be made available to those employees whose duties require them to spend prolonged periods kneeling.
UNIFORMS AND TOOLS. 13.1 The Employer agrees to furnish tools as may be necessary for safe operation and performance of duties.
13.2 The Employer will furnish uniforms to maintenance and custodial employees as needed.

(A) The Company will provide uniforms (11 shirts and 9 pants, 2 jackets (light and heavy) and coveralls (as required for selected individuals) for all employees per contract year, as needed. Also, the Company will provide reimbursement for a safety boot / shoe allowance of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) per contract year (1 September- 31 August) for the length of this Agreement. The employee must provide proof of purchase to the Branch Manager to obtain the allowed reimbursement. As long as the total yearly reimbursement amount has not been used, the employee may purchase an additional safety boot/ safety shoe; up to the yearly maximum.
(B) The Company will provide all work tools required to perform work under this contract. Tools other than Company provided are not authorized in accordance with Customer Policy and Regulations and are strictly prohibited.
UNIFORMS AND TOOLS. 1. The Town will provide adequate uniforms and other clothing necessary to the performance of the job where and when required, as set forth in Appendix III. Distribution of new uniforms and other clothing shall be made by October 1st of each year. If distribution shall be delayed beyond October 1st of any year, the department head shall advise the union in writing by October 10th of the reason for such delay and the new anticipated date of distribution, and if distribution shall be further delayed, the department head shall advise the union in writing of the reason for such further delay and the new anticipated date of distribution. The union shall file a written statement of any claimed inadequacies in the uniforms supplied no later than thirty (30) days after the claimed inadequacy becomes known.
2. The Town will reimburse an employee for personal tools broken or worn out in the performance of their work upon presentation of the tool, provided that there shall be non-cumulative limit on reimbursement of seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) per employee per year. The Town shall provide specialty shop tools that are reasonably required for an employee to perform work assigned. Mechanics assigned to the Fleet Department are required to provide their own industry standard hand tools as a condition of employment.
3.
