WORK UNIFORMS. Employees who are required to wear uniforms as a condition of employment shall be furnished such uniforms by the Appointing Authority. Proper maintenance of uniforms is an employee responsibility unless they are currently maintained by the Employer or unless required by statute or other regulatory agencies because of contamination (see Article 22). Uniforms shall not be used for off-duty activity by the employee.
WORK UNIFORMS. The Board of Education will absorb the cost for rental and cleaning or purchase of uniforms, to consist of seven (7) shirts and seven (7) pants every other year, for each warehouse employee approved by the Business Administrator under direction of the Superintendent. Inclement weather gear including work boots shall be provided by the Board of Education for warehouse department employees. All employees of groups provided with uniforms, if they have been purchased or rented for them, are required to wear them on the job.
WORK UNIFORMS. Five sets of uniforms (five pairs of trousers and five shirts and a jacket) will be furnished to each full-time employee assigned 40 hours per week of work (prorated if less than full-time). In addition, the District will provide each full-time mechanic with winter coveralls, as needed and one (1) jacket and five summer T-shirts each year. All uniform issues shall be furnished and cleaned at District expense. Employees will be held responsible for keeping their uniforms presentable. Employees will not be reimbursed for time and cost to get measured. Employees are required to wear steel-toed protective boots and the District will provide up to $200 toward those boots from the District approved vendor(s).
WORK UNIFORMS. Employees of the Meter Shop, Hydrant Shop and East Side Yard shall receive a “standard issue” of work uniforms consisting of five (5) shirts, five (5) pants, one (1) jacket, and one (1) jacket liner, or three (3) cotton coveralls without cost to the employees. On an as needed basis thereafter, worn-out work uniform items, shall be replaced by the Employer without cost to employees on a demonstrated need basis.
WORK UNIFORMS. Subd. 1. Solid Waste and Recycling Division
WORK UNIFORMS. The District shall provide a uniform allowance, the allocation of which shall be subject to recommendations of the uniform committee, of $150 each year for each employee payable no later than November 5, annually or within two (2) weeks after employment is confirmed, whichever is later. Employees are required to wear the approved uniform. Employees that leave employment are required to turn in current year uniforms. Each employee is responsible to keep his/her uniform neat and clean. It is expected that the uniform allowance be used to purchase pants, shoes, and hairnets.
WORK UNIFORMS. The EMPLOYER shall provide safety boots, or a predetermined cash reimbursement for the purchase of approved safety boots. The EMPLOYER shall provide all articles of work uniforms and equipment which are required by the EMPLOYER provided said articles are unique to the fire service and not suitable for off-duty wear. The UNION agrees that the EMPLOYER may implement a program change as indicated in Alternate sections at a time after July 2nd, 2005. At no time shall the EMPLOYER partially implement the program change.
WORK UNIFORMS. (A) Custodial-Maintenance Employees The BOARD shall provide five (5) work uniforms to new employees. Uniforms and foul weather gear as needed will be issued once during the year by October 15 of each school year. The BOARD shall also provide an allowance of $65.00 per year for the purpose of laundering such uniforms. These allowances will be paid on a general fund check no later than October 30. All foul weather gear must be kept in the Maintenance Shop when not in use.
(1) It is understood that the BOARD and the UNION will mutually agree on the color for these uniforms.
(2) The BOARD shall provide winter jackets for outside maintenance employees and day custodial employees. They will be replaced every three (3) years unless circumstances occur necessitating replacement before the scheduled replacement date. Issuance will be in accordance with Article VII, Section 8.
(B) Transportation Employees The BOARD shall provide five (5) work uniforms to new employees. Uniforms as needed, will be issued once during the year by October 15 of each school year. A winter jacket will be issued to all transportation employees bi-annually. A spring jacket will be issued to all transportation employees bi-annually.
(1) The Board and the Union will mutually agree on the color for these uniforms.
(2) The BOARD shall provide an allowance of $30.00 per year for the purpose of laundering such uniforms. This allowance will be paid on a general fund check no later than October 30.
(C) Food Service Employees The BOARD shall provide food service workers with five (5) work uniforms and one (1) pair of non-skid shoes to new employees.
(1) The BOARD and the UNION agree that uniform shirts will be red (with black pants).
(2) The BOARD shall also provide an allowance of $30.00 per year per employee for the purpose of laundering such uniforms. This allowance will be paid on a general fund check no later than October 30.
(D) Each employee shall be required to wear a neat and clean work uniform at all times during his/her work.
WORK UNIFORMS. 1. The Company will provide at no cost to the following maintenance employees, seven (7) pants and shirts, or seven (7) coveralls. Electricians, Millwrights, Side-loader Technicians, Apprentices, and Oiler.
2. A probationary employee in the above jobs will be entitled to these uniforms after successfully completing the required probationary period.
WORK UNIFORMS. Each member of the permanent Fire Department shall at times when on duty wear such uniforms as the Town Council from time to time designate, except when otherwise specifically directed by the Chief of the Fire Department. Firefighters shall be permitted to elect to wear long or short sleeve station uniform shirts throughout the year. Firefighters shall be permitted to wear station uniform shorts during the months of June, July, August, and September. Firefighters will be allowed to wear t-shirts on days where the outside temperature is over seventy-five (75) degrees, however, said t-shirts worn shall be only those selected or approved by the Chief of the Department.
