Common use of UNION SERVICE Clause in Contracts

UNION SERVICE. (a) The Company shall allow time off work without pay for any employee who is serving on a Union Committee for purposes of discussions with the Company, or serving as a Union delegate to any conference or function, provided all requests for time off are reasonable and do not interfere with the proper operation of the business. (b) No employee who acts within the scope of this sub-section shall lose his job or be discriminated against for so acting.

UNION SERVICE. Such leave shall not interfere with the proper operation of the businessplant. (b) No employee who acts within the scope of this sub-section shall lose his job or be discriminated against for so acting.

(b) No employee who acts within the scope of this sub-section shall lose his job or be discriminated against for so acting.

(c) It is understood and agreed that the application of this clause shall not result in more than two (2) employees being off at any one time.
