UNION STEWARDS / REPRESENTATION. 7.01 The Employer acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or select a negotiation committee of not more than six (6) employees covered by the Collective Agreement along with only Representatives of the International and/or Local Union for the purpose of negotiating a renewal Agreement pursuant to notice given under Article 31 - Duration. Committee members shall be compensated for wages (up to a maximum of 40 hours) and shall have continued benefit coverage and contributions to the Pension Trust Plan for members of the committee for scheduled meetings between the parties for the negotiation of the Collective Agreement. There will be no compensation for the time spent outside of regular working hours, nor will hours under the provision attract overtime pay.

  • CONTRACTOR’S REPRESENTATIONS 8.01 In order to induce Owner to enter into this Contract, Contractor makes the following representations:

  • Company Representations (a) The Company is a corporation duly organized, validly existing and in good standing under the laws of the state of its incorporation, and has the power and authority to own, lease and operate its properties and carry on its business as now conducted.

  • PROJECT REPRESENTATION BEYOND BASIC SERVICES 1.2.1. The State may at its option secure the services of a person or persons known as a Clerk-of-the-Works, referred to herein as a "Clerk". The Clerk(s) shall, for all purposes of this Agreement, report and be solely responsible to the State. The State may at any time dismiss the Clerk(s) for cause or convenience; however, any such action shall not affect the State's and ARCHITECT/ENGINEER'S obligations under this Agreement. In such event, the State shall use their best efforts to secure the services of a Clerk or Clerks under this paragraph as soon as is practicable if the State deems it necessary.

  • Grievance Representation (A) An employee who decides to use this grievance procedure shall indicate at Step 1 (or other initial written step as authorized by the provisions of this Article) whether he shall be represented by the Union. If a grievant selects a Union Grievance Representative to represent him in a grievance which has been properly filed in accordance with this Article, the Union Grievance Representative may be allowed a reasonable amount of annual leave to investigate the grievance. Such annual leave shall be subject to prior approval by the Union Grievance Representative’s immediate supervisor; however, approval of such leave will not be withheld if the Union Grievance Representative can be allowed such time off without interfering with, or unduly hampering the operations of the unit to which the Union Grievance Representative is regularly assigned. When a grievant has elected Union representation, both the grievant and the Union Grievance Representative shall be notified of a Step 1 meeting. Written communication concerning the grievance or its resolution shall be sent to the grievant and the Union Grievance Representative, and the decision agreed to by the state and the Union shall be binding on the grievant.

  • Scope of Representation The scope of representation shall be limited to matters relating to wages, hours of employment and other terms and conditions of employment as defined in Government Code Section 3543.2. Nothing herein may be construed to limit the right of the District to consult with CSEA on any matter outside of the scope of representation.

  • Union and Employer Representation No employee or group of employees shall undertake to represent the Union at meetings with the Employer without the proper authorization of the Union. To implement this the Union shall supply the Employer with the names of its officers and similarly, the Employer shall supply the Union with a list of its supervisory or other personnel with whom the Union may be required to transact business.
