Unscheduled Annual Leave. (1) In the event circumstances arise which are beyond the employees ability to control, the employee should contact the appropriate management official before the start of the shift. The management official will be notified as soon as possible, but not later than thirty (30) minutes prior to the shift. In situations where the employee cannot contact the management official for reasons beyond the employees’ ability to control, a two (2) hour grace period charged to an appropriate leave category may be approved at the official’s discretion.
