Common use of Uses of Sick Leave Clause in Contracts

Uses of Sick Leave. A. Sick leave shall be granted to an Employee upon approval of the Employer and for the following reasons: (1) Illness or injury of the Employee or a member of his immediate family. (2) If a member of the immediate family is afflicted with a contagious disease or requires the care and attendance of the employee, or when, through exposure to a contagious disease, the presence of the employee at his job would jeopardize the health of others. (3) Pregnancy and/or childbirth and other conditions related thereto inclusive of leave for male employees for the care of the Employee's wife and family during the post-natal period.
