VACATIONS AND VACATION PAY. 9.01 Employees who have completed less than five (5) years of continuous service with the Employer shall receive two (2) weeks of vacation with pay equal to four percent (4%) of their annual gross earnings. 9.02 Employees who have completed five (5) years of continuous service with the Employer shall receive three (3) weeks of vacation with pay equal to six percent (6%) of their annual gross earnings. 9.03 Employees who have completed ten (10) years of continuous service with the Employer shall receive four (4) weeks of vacation with pay equal to eight percent (8%) of their annual gross earnings. 9.04 Employees who have completed twenty (20) years of continuous service with the Employer shall receive five (5) weeks of vacation with pay equal to ten percent (10%) of their annual gross earnings. 9.05 Employees shall be entitled to have at least one (1) week of vacation during the summer vacation season. Employees entitled to more vacation will take the remainder of their vacation period prior to or after the summer vacation season. The Employer shall give all employees with more than three years of seniority who request it a second week during the summer vacation season subject to scheduling and business requirements. 9.06 The Employer agrees to allow up to two (2) drivers to be away on vacation at the same time during the summer season (May 15 through September 15) subject to scheduling and availability of replacement drivers. 9.07 Vacation time off will be granted in accordance with seniority and business requirements. To assist in vacation scheduling, the Employer will post a form on the bulletin board by January 1st and remove same on April 15th of each year. During this period each eligible employee must indicate the vacation period he wishes to take during the following calendar year. The Employer will post a finalized vacation schedule by April 30th, which shall not be changed without the consent of the Employer.

Employees shall indicate on the vacation schedule their time of vacation preference. The Employer will endeavour to grant vacations at the time requested considering business requirements. A final schedule shall be posted thirty (30) days later. If two (2) or more employees request the same vacation period, seniority shall apply. 10.06 In the event of any disagreement the vacation period allotted by the Employer shall be accepted by the employee as his vacation period. 10.07 For the purposes of this article, "years of service" shall be the seniority of the employee and the "gross earnings" shall be pro-rated in the year in which an employee changes to a higher percentage. Vacation pay shall be calculated as of June 30th in each year. 9.05 Employees 10.08 The employee shall only be entitled to have at least one (1) week take a vacation of vacation during the summer vacation season.
