Variation of Period of Maternity Leave. (a) Provided the addition does not extend the maternity leave beyond 52 weeks, the period may be lengthened once only, save with the agreement of the employer, by the employee giving not less than 14 days' notice in writing stating the period by which the leave is to be lengthened.
(b) The period of leave may, with the consent of the employer, be shortened by the employee giving not less than 14 days' notice in writing stating the period by which the leave is to be shortened.
Variation of Period of Maternity Leave. (a) Provided the maximum period maternity leave does not exceed the period to which the officer is entitled under subclause (3) of this clause:
(i) the period of maternity leave may be lengthened once only by the officer giving not less than 14 days' notice in writing stating the period by which the leave is to be lengthened;
(ii) the period may be further lengthened by agreement between the employer and the officer.
(b) The period of maternity leave may, with the consent of the employer, be shortened by the officer giving not less than 14 days’ notice in writing stating the period by which the leave is to be shortened.
Variation of Period of Maternity Leave. (a) Provided the maximum period of maternity leave does not exceed the period to which the employee is entitled under clause 2.1.3:
(i) the period of maternity leave may be lengthened once only by the employee giving not less than 14 days' notice in writing stating the period by which the leave is to be lengthened;
(ii) the period may be further lengthened by agreement between the employer and the employee.
(b) The period of maternity leave may, with the consent of the employer, be shortened by the employee giving not less than 14 days notice in writing stating the period by which the leave is to be shortened.
(c) An employee and an employer may agree that the employee break the period of maternity leave by returning to work for the employer, whether on a full-time, part-time or casual basis.
Variation of Period of Maternity Leave. (i) Provided the maximum period of maternity leave does not exceed the period to which the employee is entitled under paragraph (c) hereof:

(i) the period of maternity leave may be lengthened or shortened once only by the employee giving at least 14 days’ notice in writing stating the period by which the leave is to be lengthened or shortened;
(ii) the period may be further lengthened or shortened by agreement between the employer and the employee.
