VOLUNTARY RETIREMENT INCENTIVE. A. Effective with the commencement of this contract, and in retirements effective in June, 2016 - June, 2019, in order to be eligible to participate in the Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program, an employee must meet all of the following criteria: 1. be eligible for Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) retirement benefits; 2. have completed at least fifteen (15) years of full-time employment in District 214; (Full-time is defined as a minimum of thirty [30] hours per week.) 3. retire effective as of the end of the fiscal year in which the employee gives notice; 4. submit written notification to the Associate Superintendent for Human Resources no later than January 15 four years in advance of the year of retirement in order to qualify for maximum salary benefits or according to the following timeline. The selected retirement date must be on the last day of the employee’s contract date.

VOLUNTARY RETIREMENT INCENTIVE. Staff who applied for retirement prior to April 1, 2013 and were approved by Board action will remain eligible for the monetary and insurance benefits of that incentive. For all others, the Voluntary Retirement Incentive ceased to exist April 2, 2013 and applicants for retirement in future years will not be eligible for that benefit. 8-15 SOCIAL SECURITY
VOLUNTARY RETIREMENT INCENTIVE. Section 1 Eligibility Requirements Effective with the commencement of this contract, and in retirements effective in June 2018 - June 2021, in order to be eligible to participate in the Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program, an employee must meet all of the following criteria: A. Be eligible for Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) retirement benefits (covered by both IMRF and social security); B. Have completed at least fifteen (15) years of full-time employment in District 214. Full-time is defined as a minimum of thirty (30) hours per week. C. Submit a written notification to the Associate Superintendent for Human Resources no later than January 15 four years in advance of the year of retirement in order to qualify for maximum salary benefits or according to the following timeline. The selected retirement date must be on the last day of the employee’s contract date. D. As long as no new externally imposed penalties apply, the District intends to continue the 6% incentive for all declarations of intent to retire made through January 15 of the last year of this Agreement.
VOLUNTARY RETIREMENT INCENTIVE. 1. All qualifying professional employees shall be eligible to participate in the Voluntary Retirement Incentive Plan. 2. Applicants shall submit a letter of intent to retire to the Superintendent sixty (60) days prior to their retirement. 3. Applicants will, during the school fiscal year (July 1 – June 30) of their retirement, complete at least twenty (20) years of full time employment with the District. 4. Participating employees must actually retire pursuant to the Public School Employees’ Retirement Code. 5. The District will provide $20,000 of health care coverage to the retiree for a period not to exceed eighteen (18) months, in compliance with COBRA guidelines. If the retiree has health care coverage, the retiree must show proof of health care coverage (health insurance card, Medicare card, etc.) to the district. If such proof is shown, the district shall make an employer contribution to the employee’s 403(b) retirement program in the amount of $20,000. 6. In order to be eligible to receive benefits under Section 5, after August 31, 2008 retiree must retire by June 30 of the fiscal year in which he/she completes thirty

  • Early Retirement Incentive The Employer may offer to any faculty member or a faculty member may apply for one of the early retirement incentive alternatives described herein, provided the faculty member meets the following criteria. The Union shall be advised in writing of any offer of early retirement made to a faculty member.

  • Retirement Incentive a) If an employee gives the Board an irrevocable notice of retirement by February 1st four (4) years prior to the school year of retirement, the Board shall pay him/her a six percent (6%) retirement incentive, inclusive of all other increases in TRS creditable compensation, for each of his/her remaining four (4) years of service. If an employee gives the Board an irrevocable notice of retirement by February 1st three (3) years prior to the school year of retirement, the Board shall pay him/her a six percent (6%) retirement incentive, inclusive of all other increases in TRS creditable compensation, for each of his/her remaining three (3) years of service. If an employee gives the Board an irrevocable notice of retirement by February 1st two (2) years prior to the school year of retirement, the Board shall pay him/her a six percent (6%) retirement incentive, inclusive of all other increases in TRS creditable compensation, for each of his/her remaining two (2) years of service. If an employee gives the Board an irrevocable notice of retirement by February 1st one (1) year prior to the school year of retirement, the Board shall pay him/her a six percent (6%) retirement incentive, inclusive of all other increases in TRS creditable compensation, for his/her remaining year of service. Once an employee submits an irrevocable notice of retirement by February 1st, that employee shall be removed from the salary schedule contained in Article IX of this Agreement. All calculations for increased TRS creditable earnings will be based on the TRS creditable earnings in the year prior to the submission of the irrevocable notice of retirement. Once the employee submits an irrevocable notice of retirement an employee’s creditable earnings shall be increased by six percent (6%) of the previous year, but in no case will the employee’s TRS creditable earnings increase exceed six percent (6%) of the previous year. If, after submitting an irrevocable notice of retirement by February 1st, the employee resigns from, or is dismissed from duties for which the employee was paid a stipend or additional compensation the previous year, the retirement incentive for that employee will be recalculated accordingly. b) To be eligible, an employee must submit an irrevocable notice of retirement by February 1st which must be accompanied by a Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS) member requested “Personal Statement of Benefits” and a “Benefit Estimate” confirmation of total years of service. An employee with ten (10) years of full-time service with Neoga C.U.S.D. No. 3 is considered to be eligible for the retirement incentive by meeting one of the following conditions at the time of retirement: 1) The employee is sixty (60) years of age and has ten (10) years of creditable TRS service. 2) The employee is at least fifty-five (55) years of age and has thirty- five (35) years of creditable TRS service. c) If, during the term of this Agreement, any legislation and/or TRS rules/regulations are enacted or not reenacted and/or adopted or amended that result in a greater cost to the District than the costs generated by this Agreement, or that change the definition of what is subject to the 6% TRS cap, the parties agree that this Section shall be null and void and upon the demand of any party shall meet to bargain language to succeed this paragraph.

  • Disability Retirement If, as a result of your incapacity due to physical or mental illness, You shall have been absent from the full-time performance of your duties with the Company for 6 consecutive months, and within 30 days after written notice of termination is given You shall not have returned to the full-time performance of your duties, your employment may be terminated for "Disability." Termination of your employment by the Company or You due to your "Retirement" shall mean termination in accordance with the Company's retirement policy, including early retirement, generally applicable to its salaried employees or in accordance with any retirement arrangement established with your consent with respect to You.

  • Deferred Retirement a. An employee who is eligible for paid retirement at the time he or she separates from County service, but elects deferred retirement, may defer participation in the Grant until such time as he or she becomes an active retiree. b. An otherwise eligible employee who is not eligible for paid retirement at the time he or she separates from County service but is eligible for and elects deferred retirement shall not become eligible for participation in the Grant.

  • Death, Retirement or Disability Executive’s employment shall terminate automatically upon Executive’s death or Retirement during the Employment Period. For purposes of this Agreement, “Retirement” shall mean normal retirement as defined in the Company’s then-current retirement plan, or if there is no such retirement plan, “Retirement” shall mean voluntary termination after age 65 with ten years of service. If the Company determines in good faith that the Disability of Executive has occurred during the Employment Period (pursuant to the definition of Disability set forth below), it may give to Executive written notice of its intention to terminate Executive’s employment. In such event, Executive’s employment with the Company shall terminate effective on the 30th day after receipt of such written notice by Executive (the “Disability Effective Date”), provided that, within the 30 days after such receipt, Executive shall not have returned to full-time performance of Executive’s duties. For purposes of this Agreement, “Disability” shall mean a mental or physical disability as determined by the Board of Directors of the Company in accordance with standards and procedures similar to those under the Company’s employee long-term disability plan, if any. At any time that the Company does not maintain such a long-term disability plan, “Disability” shall mean the inability of Executive, as determined by the Board, to perform the essential functions of his regular duties and responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, due to a medically determinable physical or mental condition which has lasted (or can reasonably be expected to last) for twelve workweeks in any twelve-month period. At the request of Executive or his personal representative, the Board’s determination that the Disability of Executive has occurred shall be certified by two physicians mutually agreed upon by Executive, or his personal representative, and the Company. Failing such independent certification (if so requested by Executive), Executive’s termination shall be deemed a termination by the Company without Cause and not a termination by reason of his Disability.

  • Severance and Retirement Options (i) Where an employee resigns within 30 days after receiving notice of layoff pursuant to article 14.02 (a)(ii) that his or her position will be eliminated, he or she shall be entitled to a separation allowance of two (2) weeks' salary for each year of continuous service to a maximum of sixteen (16) weeks' pay, and, on production of receipts from an approved educational program, within twelve (12) months of resignation, may be reimbursed for tuition fees up to a maximum of three thousand ($3,000) dollars. (ii) Where an employee resigns later than 30 days after receiving notice pursuant to article 14.02(a)(ii) that his or her position will be eliminated, he or she shall be entitled to a separation allowance of four (4) weeks' salary, and, on production of receipts from an approved educational program, within twelve (12) months of resignation, may be reimbursed for tuition fees up to a maximum of one thousand two hundred and fifty ($1,250) dollars. (b) Prior to issuing notice of layoff pursuant to article 14.02(a)(ii) in any classification(s), the Hospital will offer early-retirement allowance to a sufficient number of employees eligible for early retirement under HOOPP within the classification(s) in order of seniority, to the extent that the maximum number of employees within a classification who elect early retirement is equivalent to the number of employees within the classification(s) who would otherwise receive notice of layoff under article 14.02(a)(ii). Within thirty (30) days from the date of notice of layoff, an employee who has received notice of layoff of a permanent or long-term nature may retire provided that the employee is eligible to retire under the terms of the Hospitals of Ontario Pension Plan. An employee who chooses this option forfeits her right to notice and will receive severance pay on the basis of two (2) weeks’ pay for each year of service with the Hospital to a maximum of fifty-two (52) weeks on the basis of the employees normal weekly earnings. In addition, full-time employees will receive a lump sum payment equal to $1,000.00 for every year less than age 65, to a maximum of $5,000.00.

  • Normal Retirement Normal Retirement Age under the Plan is: (Choose (a) or (b)) [X] (a) 65 [State age, but may not exceed age 65].

  • Vacation Leave on Retirement ‌ An employee scheduled to retire and to receive pension benefits under the Public Service Pension Plan Rules or who has reached the mandatory retiring age, shall be granted full vacation entitlement for the final calendar year of service.

  • Retirement Bonus 22:01 Employees retiring in accordance with the following:‌ (a) Retire at age sixty-five (65) years; or (b) Retire after age sixty-five (65) years; or (c) Have completed at least ten (10) years continuous employment and retire after age fifty-five (55) years but before age sixty-five (65) years; (d) Employees who have completed at least ten (10) years continuous service with the Employer, whose age plus years of that service equal eighty (80); shall be granted retirement bonus on the basis of four (4) days per year of employment.

  • Retirement, Death or Disability If the Executive’s employment terminates during the Term of this Agreement due to his death, a disability that results in his collection of any long-term disability benefits, or retirement at or after age 62, the Executive (or the beneficiaries of his estate) shall be entitled to receive the compensation and benefits that the Executive would otherwise have become entitled to receive pursuant to subsection (d) hereof upon a resignation without Good Reason.
