Wage Rates for New or Changed. Jobs If any new jobs are created or if the duties of any jobs are combined during the term of this Agreement, the wage rates for such new or combined jobs shall be established by the Company on the basis of existing job rates for other jobs and in proper relationship to other existing job rates in the Bargaining Unit. If the Company and the Union cannot agree on the wage rate for the new or changed job, the final determination of such wage rate shall be deferred until the next negotiations in which all wage rates are open for negotiations, and any change in the wage rate for the new or changed job resulting from such negotiations will be retroactive to the date the new or changed job was first placed in operation.

Wage Rates for New or Changed. Occupational Classifications In the event the Company desires to establish or the Union considers the Company has established a new or changed occupational classification within the bargaining unit, the parties shall be advised. Prior to implementation of the new or changed occupational classification, the Company shall meet with the Union regarding the proposal, Operations shall not be delayed through failure to agree immediately upon the rate applicable to such occupational classifications. In such cases, the results of negotiations, the Company shall establish such new or changed occupational classifications and the Company proposed rate applicable thereto and place them in effect, If the Company and Union to agree on a new or changed occupation classification, the Union may treat the matter as grievance; such grievance must be filed within three (3) days of the termination of negotiations. Wage Rates for New or Changed. OCCUPATIONAL CLASSIFICATIONS In the event the Company desires to establish new occupational classifications or change existing occupational classifications the hourly rates applicable thereto shall be determined by negotiation between the Company and the Union. Production shall not be delayed through failure to immediately agree upon hourly rates applicable to any new or changed occupational classification. In such cases, pending the results of negotiations, the Company will establish the occupational classification and the Company-proposed hourly rate applicable thereto and shall place such occupational classification and such hourly rates into effect. Negotiated rates finally established which are higher than the Company-proposed rates will be paid retroactive to the date of the start of the occupation. The Company will supply the Union, seven (7) days prior to such negotiations, with the occupational classification number, occupational classification title and the job description pertaining thereto. In the event that the local plant management and the Union cannot agree upon a final rate for any new or changed occupational classification within fifteen (15) calendar days after such occupation is established, the matter may be referred to the grievance procedure. If such representatives fail to reach agreement, either party may refer the matter to arbitration in accordance with Article XI. However, the authority of the arbitrator shall be limited to selecting the final wage position of either the Company or the Union for implementation.
