Walking bus. Concept: The walking bus support is a personalized accompaniment of the stakeholder that are soliciting us: • 1st step: meeting with interested teachers of head of schools and parents to explain our role, the different steps and our support. • 2nd step: regular contact by phone or e-mail and punctual meeting according to their need. We also propose to interested stakeholders to visit an ongoing walking bus to see how it is working. • 3rd step: methodology and tools to implement the walking bus – creation of a kit: we want to create a full pedagogical kit with all the documentation needed from the stakeholder to implement a walking bus: − Diagnosis tools (questionnaires, Excel file to study the questionnaires, travels map methodology etc.). − Communication tools: poster, brochures, presentations, listing of email for dissemination. − Juridical information: about responsibilities above all! − Organisation tools: parents’ charter, children’s charter, subscription files, schedules. − Teachers tools: in order to associate them the soonest and give them some ideas around mobility: educative files, project class ideas etc. − Setting up of a documentation platform that anyone can consult and fill in but not very used for now. Actions: The main steps of a walking bus are the following: • Diagnosis (through questionnaire): help in identifying the children that could use a walking bus and volunteering parents. • Creation of a steering committee: for the implementation of the project and daily organisation. All the stakeholders must be in (parents, teachers, head of school, municipality representatives, associations). • Defining routes: the safest and shortest route (30 min maximum) to determine the schedules and bus stops. • Modalities of functioning: children subscription modalities, volunteers charter, insurance of civil responsibility etc. • Information meeting organisation for a test day. If stakeholders are motivated, it is possible to go on with the project. But if there is no parent or teacher lead in this kind of volunteer project, it can’t work. The walking bus is not funded by any grant, it works on the basis of volunteers. (The order of steps can vary from one context to another.)   • Doing Business All parties which have had any interest in the Mortgage Loan, whether as mortgagee, assignee, pledgee or otherwise, are (or, during the period in which they held and disposed of such interest, were) (1) in compliance with any and all applicable licensing requirements of the laws of the state wherein the Mortgaged Property is located, and (2) either (i) organized under the laws of such state, or (ii) qualified to do business in such state, or (iii) a federal savings and loan association, a savings bank or a national bank having a principal office in such state, or (3) not doing business in such state;

  • Dewatering (a) Where the whole of a site is so affected by surface water following a period of rain that all productive work is suspended by agreement of the Parties, then dewatering shall proceed as above with Employees so engaged being paid at penalty rates as is the case for safety rectification work. This work is typically performed by Employees engaged within CW1, CW2 or CW3 classifications. When other Employees are undertaking productive work in an area or areas not so affected then dewatering will only attract single time rates. (b) Where a part of a site is affected by surface water following a period of rain, thus rendering some areas unsafe for productive work, consistent with the Employer’s obligations under the OH&S Act, appropriate Employees shall assist in the tidying up of their own work site or area if it is so affected. Where required, appropriate Employees will be provided with the appropriate PPE. Such work to be paid at single time rates. Productive work will continue in areas not so affected. (c) To avoid any confusion any ‘dewatering’ time which prevents an Employee from being engaged in their normal productive work is not included in any calculation for the purposes of determining whether an Employee is entitled to go home due to wet weather (refer clauses 32.4 and 32.5)

  • Shifting of obstructing utilities The Contractor shall, in accordance with Applicable Laws and with assistance of the Authority, undertake the work of shifting of any utility (including electric lines, water pipes, gas pipelines and telephone cables) to an appropriate location or alignment, if such utility or obstruction adversely affects the execution of Works or Maintenance of the Project Highway in accordance with this Agreement. The cost of such shifting, as per estimates prepared by the entity owning the utility and approved by the Authority, shall be reimbursed by the Authority to the Contractor. The scope of work of such shifting of Utilities shall be as indicated in Schedule-B-1. In the event of any delay of such shifting on the part of the contractor, no extension of time for completion of the project and no claims, in any manner, shall be admissible on this account against the Authority. The work of shifting of Utilities can be taken up by the Contractor any time after signing of the Agreement.

  • ADJACENT EXCAVATION-SHORING If an excavation shall be made upon land adjacent to the demised premises, or shall be authorized to be made, Tenant shall afford to the person causing or authorized to cause such excavation, license to enter upon the demised premises for the purpose of doing such work as said person shall deem necessary to preserve the wall or the building of which demised premises form a part from injury or damage and to support the same by proper foundations without any claim for damages or indemnity against Owner, or diminution or abatement of rent.

  • Dedicated Transport A DS0-, DS1-, or DS3-capacity transmission facility between Verizon switches (as identified in the LERG) or UNE Wire Centers, within a LATA, that is dedicated to a particular end user or carrier. Dedicated Transport is sometimes referred to as dedicated interoffice facilities ("IOF"). Dedicated Transport does not include any facility that does not connect a pair of Verizon UNE Wire Centers.

  • Plant The expression ‘Plant’ as used in the tender papers shall mean every temporary accessory necessary or considered necessary by the Engineer to execute, construct, complete and maintain the work and all altered, modified, substituted and additional works ordered in the time and the manner herein provided and all temporary materials and special and other articles and appliance of every sort kind and description whatsoever intended or used therefore.

  • Violence in the Workplace (a) The parties agree that violence shall be defined as any incident in which an employee is abused, threatened or assaulted while performing his or her work. The parties agree it includes the application of force, threats with or without weapons and severe verbal abuse. The parties agree that such incidents will not be condoned. Any employee who believes he/she has been subjected to such incident shall report this to a supervisor who will make every reasonable effort to rectify the situation. For purposes of sub-article (a) only, employees as referred to herein shall mean all employees of the Employer notwithstanding Article 2.12. (b) The Employer agrees to develop formalized policies and procedures in consultation with the Joint Health and Safety Committee to deal with workplace violence. The policy will address the prevention of violence and the management of violent situations and support to employees who have faced workplace violence. These policies and procedures shall be communicated to all employees. The local parties will consider appropriate measures and procedures in consultation with the Joint Health and Safety Committee to address violence in the workplace, which may include, among other measures and procedures: i) Alert employees about a person with a known history of aggressive and responsive behaviours and their known triggers by means of: A) electronic and/or other appropriate flagging systems, B) direct verbal communication / alerts (i.e. shift reports), ii) Communicate and provide appropriate training and education, iii) Reporting all incidents of workplace violence, iv) Long-term care home wide violence risk assessments. (c) The Employer will report all incidents of violence as defined herein to the Joint Health and Safety Committee for review. (d) The Employer agrees to provide training and information on the prevention of violence to all employees who come into contact with potentially aggressive persons. This training will be done during a new employee’s orientation and updated as required. (e) Subject to appropriate legislation, and with the employee’s consent, the Employer will inform the Union within three (3) days of any employee who has been subjected to violence while performing his/her work. Such information shall be submitted in writing to the Union as soon as practicable.

  • Infrastructure Vulnerability Scanning Supplier will scan its internal environments (e.g., servers, network devices, etc.) related to Deliverables monthly and external environments related to Deliverables weekly. Supplier will have a defined process to address any findings but will ensure that any high-risk vulnerabilities are addressed within 30 days.
