Withdrawal of Lay Off Notice. Notice of layoff can be withdrawn at any time during the confirmation of layoff period. Withdrawal of such notice must be in writing. Once notice is withdrawn, any further application of this Article under that notice of confirmation is null and void. If the layoff of the employee reoccurs for any reason, this Article must be applied in its entirety. If notice is withdrawn and the employee returns to a lower-rated position, the employee shall not suffer loss of salary or benefits. The employee's salary shall be red-circled until economic increases and progression through the steps in the rate structure bring the salary level in line with the employee's pay rate at the lower-rated position.‌
