Common use of Work on Statutory Holiday Clause in Contracts

Work on Statutory Holiday. Any Employee required to work on a Statutory Holiday, in addition to his/her regular salary, shall be credited with one half (½) hours pay at straight time for each hour so worked. In the case of a shift exchange, it is the employee who works the holiday who is credited with one half (1/2) hours pay at straight time for each hour so worked. For the purpose of this section, the Statutory Holiday shall reflect the twenty-four (24) hour period from 00:01 hours to 23:59 hours inclusively.
