WORK WEEK/WORK YEAR. A. O.R.C. 3319.086 provides that forty (40) hours shall be the standard work week for all non-teaching school employees. The standard work week of seven (7) days shall commence Sunday evening at midnight. Non-teaching employees shall not be required to work on official holidays, unless failure to work on such holidays would impair the public service. When such employees are requested by their responsible administrative superiors, to work on official holidays, such employees shall be given compensatory time off in the amount of an hour and a half (1 ½) for each hour worked. A custodial position may be posted to include a flexible schedule, example: Saturday assignment with a weekday off. The compensation shall include a premium pay of fifty cents (.50) per hour and the normal work week shall be forty (40) hours.
